  • Dennis doesnt have the balls to drive that raped ape

  • my dream

  • badd ass superstock fast runs 10s bone stock..... wow

  • Comment removed

  • hey i have never seen one in person prolly never will i live in australia but i belive these were delivered to the customers in primer and the door jams and under hood in black ( not painted white) next best thing to this is the mr norms gss ( i think mr norms might have been first with the 426)

  • @vcval There are alot of people here in the States that have never seen a Real Factory Hemi Race Car in Person either, probably 95 % or more of the ones Racing in the SS/AAH and SS/AH classes are Clones.I am lucky enough to have a friend that has 4 of them.He has the Original Drag On Lady LO23 68 Dodge Dart,A BO23 68 Barracuda,A 65 A990 Belvedere and he races his NHRA Legal 67 RO23 Belvedere in SS/DAH(9.38@142)and the Hemi Class at MO-POWER Events,His Crew Chief's Brother has a WO23 67 Coronet.

  • @MrShark4488 Thats a BO29 68 Barracuda not a BO23

  • They get appraised for over 300k. I know a guy with one. He rubbed his which dropped. the value.

  • These things would run a mid 10 off the showroom floor!

  • Can´t get much better than that.

  • Badass

  • If I ever get mega rich, this is the first car I'm hunting down, I will not rest until it is mine, everyone in the streets might as well pull over to the side. Mustangs wouldn't even be able to see the back side of one of these they are just pure dark power.

  • OMFG 600 HPs shUA HUShuAHushuahs (europeus=lixo )

  • This is one nice car, fast as hell, not to mention it was perhaps the fastest stock car available to buy in the sixties.

They weren't any good at all to street-driving, in fact, they was terrible at daily driving, but if you wanted to be the king of the strip or street, nothing could come close.

Ocourse, you either did this with a dealerplate or no plate, since Hemi-darts couldn't be legaly registrated in Any state.

    Beatifull restored car =)

*smiles big when watching this* =)

  • But, even if you think you have the fastest car, may it be at the strip, or street, you should Never, under any circumstances, underrestimate your opponent, never.

Even if i would have an Hemi-dart 68', i would never underestimate my opponent, cause that could be risky, and the opponent may blow the door of you if you underestimate him/her, no matter which car you drives.

It's a common mistake that just because it's an MoPar, it's unbeatable, they're not.

    They are great, not unbeatable.

  • Yes, i understand the fact that Chrysler/MoPar did in fact made perhaps the fastest muscle cars in that particular era, but it doesn't make them unbeatable because of that.

yes they are fast, put out great power e.t.c, but No car, no matter which one it is, is unbeatable.

It's a bit annoying that just because people know a certain car got a certain engine e.t.c, they just see the good parts, and refuse to see the downside, fact, and that other cars might be better in some other ways.

  • The narrow weiw, or whatever it's called, when you just see one thing and is blind for anything else, is something that irritates me, when people just see one thing, and is not open to other stuff, that might in fact be better in other ways.

Ofcourse, you're not forced to like other manufacturers/cars,if you are an GM-fan, MoPar-fan or Ford-fan e.t.c, but is it really worth to throw shit against other manufacturers because you don't like them? Is it worth it?

I say, no. It's a waste of time.

  • this car is a monster stock vs stock this car is insane.

  • You have been invited to

    Horsepower Profiles. Com

  • magic ,took an original historic race car an turned it into a retro something ,to much money no fucking common sense ,post some speedwin pictures ,SLOW PAINFULL DEATH TO ALL BOYDSTERS

  • LO-23 Dart is the epitimy of the muscle car. I am restoring a '62 Dart with much the same features as this, heater/wiper/radio delete and sliding the windows up on a strap. This car makes me want to slap people, good god I can't go on, this CAR IS FUCKING AWESOME!!!

  • Amen brother!

  • @5773857734 Well The Hemi Dart's are pretty nice but id rather have the '68 Hemi Barracuda just as fast and better looking.

  • exactly' a factory built machine',...MOPAR!!!

  • Who would win? Whart are you on dope? Chevy nor ford had anything even close as a production car. Not even close!!

  • None of these cars came painted as far as I know. They left it up to the owner. I suppose that's why this one is painted to the owners liking.

  • I would say based on the rarity of the car more that 250k my grandpa has a 69 hemi charger 4 speed car numbers matching and got an offer for 200k last year and this car is even rarer than the 69 hemi 4speed charger something like 430 4speeds and 300 autos for 69

  • What is the car current net worth?

  • Better figure out why ya have so much play in the steering.....Awesome car...Who doesn't want one of these?...OMG...I'd like to bang one around for a day....

  • yeah really back in 1968 when you ordered at the dealer if you cheked the right box you would get one of these

  • The father of a friend has a '68 Hurst Hemi Dart too! This car is damn awesome!

  • Awesome car but I seen on muscle car the show and it was rating muscle cars true horsepower the top was the hemi it was like 816 .But I seen another show the fastest qt. mile muscle car it had the yenko nova and others. But it never showed the true horsepower of the 454.Also it never showed the 68 doge lo go against 71 chevelle 454.Who would win?

  • the Dodge would and will kick it's ass... it's not so much a question of HP, it's weight, and a Chevelle is carrying a BUNCH more than a Dart !

  • the '68 Hurst Hemi Dart is a real dragracing car (no backseats, lightweight-body and so on...), while the 1970 LS-6 Chevelle is a Gran Turismo Muscle Car

  • Do you seriously have a Hemi Challenger? If you do I would so trade you my 1965 chevelle for it. That is my favorite car of all time. Preferably a 1970 (Vanishing Point ruined me)

  • I'm sorry, it's just my favourite car too... :-(

  • Oh ok...well I was hopeful. We can always have sweet dreams.

  • I never stop reminding my dad that if he had only bought one of these in '68 and taken care of it, it would have been his whole retirement annuity right there;-)

  • cannot get enough of this animal. pure dodge power. Bow to the mighty elephant motor. Lets see a yenko 427 nova or a 454 chevelle catch up to those tailights

  • there is no other 60 muscle car that compares. Just amazing

  • that car is not all orignal

  • that's suposed to be not all original, it's a race car, just like camaro phase III and others

  • The first car I ever drove was a 68 Dodge Dart... I learned how to disconnect the odometer cable, so my mom wouldn't know the actual mileage...(14 yrs old) not proud. Gotta laugh now.

  • I want one,NOW

  • This may be the baddest of the bad... no matter what company made it... think about it, with good tires, this think would run with a Bugatti Veyron in the 1/4 mile !!!

  • Maybe the baddest of the bad ever to be offered from Mopar!

  • Mr. 69Moparman...I think I'm gonna have to agree with you there but add a little something. We might be looking at the baddest production car of that time

  • So your actually saying since then there was / is a production car that tops the Hemi Darts?????

  • No...not at all but it was unbelievable for that time. The only two cars that could even think about coming in a close secon is the Ford Thunderbolt or the 1969 ZL-1 Camaro which had an estimated 625 hp from the factory but it was heavier and didn't hook very well. But nothing was and has never been built from the factory better than this car...but what do I know, I'm just an 18 year old college kid. I wish I could trade my 1965 Chevelle for this...i'll just keep dreamin

  • Your right on both cars, I knew a guy that had 69' Nova that had the ZL-1 motor very wicked car, the T-bolt was a brute, lets not forget about the ford cobras with the injected 427's, vey bad to the bone, and even the Z0-6 vettes today also a nice ride. But for a go in a straight line car, this dart was and always will be hard to beat. I was able to see these animals race back in the day, sweet memories!

  • even tho im a mopar guy i envy you for havin a 65 chevelle at 18

  • Have you heard about the new Super Stock Challenger comin out? Oh The only weight saver on the ZL-1 was the all aluminum 427. But it still wasn't this freakin mean

  • just the challenger, but not a "Super Stock" version.

Also heard about the R/T package with a 425 hp hemi engine. Can't wait to see em out on the road!

  • Oh yea...watch Dodge Challenger Super Stock Feature by Edmunds' Inside Line on here...it shows one. I have heard wispers that dodge is planning on actually makin those things...but it still won't be as mean as this car. Believe it or not...my girlfriend has a 69 Roadrunner with a 383 that I am going to help her dad finish here really soon.

  • I'll check it out, well good for you on helping out with the Road Runner, it's a labor of love sometimes to re-do these old mopars, but well worth it, my 69' is a matching numbers 383 engine / 727 tranny car, but I moth balled that setup and placed a built 65' vintage 440 and a turbo-action 727, she's a blast to cruise around in, I'm sure you will enjoy your girlfreinds' Road Runner, let me know if you post any photo's / video's.

  • ok...I'll have some of my Chevelle too...I built the 327 (now 332 w/dome pistons) but I spun a rod bearing this weekend so I have to go through it...raced it too much. But I'll let u know. It was nice talkin to ya.

  • Gage you know you got the DREAM job!!!!

  • I remember an article around 1988 from High Performance Mopar Magazine which stated around 48 were built and about the same with the Plymouth cousin 68 HEMI Race Cuda.

This was the first Mopar Magazine I ever read!

  • i dont know where the guy gets 80 built from any research ive done says less then 50 and no one knows for sure how many

  • I think it's 53 Documented tday. Not shure though.

  • gotta be one of the best cars ever..along with the 1970 to 1976 a body Dart sports, Dusters & Demon..the 66 to 67 cudas look badass too..and the 70 Challenger..Mopar really had there muscle cars down..

  • the best part is these darts were the bread and butter cars for dodge, millions out there and dodge had the vision to see the potential and then actually build the hemi version! makes me love my 318 version that much more:)

  • UNA MAQUINA ASESINA, THE BEST

  • the car God would drive..

  • Can you say, "instant hard on"

The sickest, #1 in my book!!!!

  • wow, i cant even imagine what that car would be appraised at.

    awesome.

  • killer car!! great video!!!

  • my absolute #1 dream car of all time!!!!!!!!

  • I agree!! This is no 1.

  • Nice video thanks for sharing
