I sung this song to my grandpa the last i went to the cemeatry, my grandma was with me when i sung it. Who ever does not love this vid or song or both is HEARTLESS!!!!

What I always thought was so sad about SMALLVILLE was the LEX complex. That is the real sad story thats going on. He really Loved Jonathan Kent and the Kent Family. He envied the way they were so close and in love. He looked as his family and wanted so badly to fit in with the Kents. Look at LEX standing in the background at the funeral.
jeff buckley is not the original singer. that would be leonard cohen.
however, i think jeffs version is fantastic but its a tought call to say whos the best. jeffs, K.D. langs, rufus wainrights, and imogen heaps are all incredible in different ways. all are fantastic
I´m spanish. That's why I can't write on english well but I try to. The song is very good because describes very good the moment but the singer is very bad.
I love any version of this song. My personal favorite IS Jeff Buckley's, though, mostly because I've seen it live, and he just puts EVERYTHING into it.

Oh my. How sad..
Recipe for a screwup:
1 Original peace of video artwork
1 Original peace of musical art
Mix with
1 teaspoon of Imogen Heap
1 ounce of deaf producer
And you have a funeral scene with a REALLY bad soundtrack preaching how love is a though bastard.
I especially like that they included the "I moved in you and the holy dove was moving too" part, which is an synonym for making love - nice thing between Superman and his "father" at his funeral! Nice going!
This isn't a direct extract from the series...the user who submitted this video has dubbed his own song in place of the original music, which I believe was "Time After Time" by Eva Cassidy.
@fidgetjnr wrong funeral. Time after time played at whitney's father's funeral back in the second season i believe. I grieve by peter gabriel was this funeral.
~ " "I moved in you and the holy dove was moving too" part, which is an synonym for making love - nice thing between Superman and his "father" at his funeral! " -Wow, I really didn't realize. That's hilarious though.
I don't really care much for the original artist. Jeff Buckley does a much better rendition than the original! And Imogen Heap is a musical genius, but she didn't really pull this off... Still better than the original though. =)
Nice job but I personally like the original better. It's mostly because I don't care for this rendition of Hallelujah. Other artists do it much better.
i thought it ment lana on info after she "died"but then i thought it was whats eh face when she fell then when jonathon died i was like wtf i got so sad
actually, this is her WORST version of her singing this. if you go download the original that she did, its damn near amazing. i don't know what she did here, but it sounds COMPLETELY different.
yes this is Imogen Heap if its a guy who sings the virson you have then its not Imogen Heap its jeff buckley who sings the virson you have but i think jeff buckley was the one to write this song but i do think this songs is nice i like the tone
kristynew2: Oh no you didn't!?! So many people have covered this song, but you have to give credit to where credit is due: Leonard Cohen, F-ing Genius. See wikipedia Hallelujah_%28song%29
i didnt say he wrote it i said "but i think jeff buckley was the one to write this song"so think before you type or just read my comment twice or more to understand it better let it sink in
Sorry, mama. I never would've given you the z-snap "Oh know you didn't" in all seriousness. I did see that you qualified your statement with "I think"; it was just a bit facetious, dramatic, etc., just because I've really respect Cohen's work. But, my bad, tone doesn't come over too well in internet text. No disrespect intended.
This Song its Perfect for this Video!
Glogovcanka 3 weeks ago
The song was originally written and sung by Leonard Cohen, in the lyrics it's the holy dark, not the holy dove, but yeah, it's about making love.
