@2flyproductions HI dear friend. I can't make a tutorial because actually I have no a possibility to record and upload the videos. I am sorry for this...
It is beautifully played, congratulations. I am a pianist myself, and i can recognize when someone plays really well. but, let me give you this little constructive critic: improve your pedal tecnique... it sometimes leaves the music a little harsh, and it should be played with a smooth sound. but it is great nonetheless :). keep on it
@portugueseguitarguy9 Hi dear friend. Thanks for your appreciation. About the pedal I must say that in this piece there a specific slur system that fragments the flow in perfect Schumann' style. So my disputable interpretation sounds in this way not for my problems with pedal but for my idea about this piece. I invite you to check the rest of Kinderszenen that you can find in playlist or in single pieces.
:) Anyway, nice playing...... I am a grade 5 student and I play tis piece, tcher choose... She tol me to see and learn.... I love tis song but it is too fast....... Do you find it hard to play tis song? It seems easy to you.....:)
The entire Schumann is complex to understand, imagine and play. You know this. The easiest piece of this author has ever difficulties that born from Schumann music conception. So, this piece is not an exception dear, for me... and it is so complex for me play it...
I like a lot of your performances, but sadly, this one is not one of them. I also have played this piece, and it's really meant to be legato, you're playing it far too broken. On the other hand, you have lovely tone and you are bringing out the melody nicely.
Hi dear friend! Thanks for your post! I expected a comment as yours. I play the left hand in full respect of left hand writing. This, you are right, gives a "broken" interpretation. This in not a comfortable rendition for me and for who listen this. But I have thought a lot for this, believe me. Kempff and others play this piece differently. And dear Friend I will pay this diversity! It is an easy trap play this as a Chopin work..
I think the problem I have with your playing is you come off the last note in the triplets way too fast. Even if you weren't playing legato, you're still coming off it too fast and they're not staccato.
I'm glad to hear you in a Schumann's work. As usual beautiful played. Your playing of this piece is different from the most renditions I've heard. Faithful to Schumann's writing. I really appreciate the care and the experience wich always appears in your work. Thank you.
Thank for your word and to be so close to my work! I have tried to have a good reading of the Schumann writing. Is a less Romantic version in a certain sense but I believe in what I done.
You know there are a lot of possibilities to play this piece - how I can say - "romantical". More legato in the first part etc.. but the writing of this piece in the first measures is exact. I've tried to read it correctly.
Can you do a tutorial please??

This is a very difficult piece. Its difficulties are more than the apparently simple writing in three parts show.
Wrongly we couldn't play this piece in a way so "easy" for our ears but it is not so.Perhaps I understand what you say...

You make it look so easy! I find this piece to be quite hard, because the right hand plays the end of "the left hand" (if you get what I mean).

N.B. parles-tu Francais?
tomstdenis 3 years ago
Perhaps...
It is a sort of non legato execution of accompaniment sections...
Anyway thanks!
No, unfortunately, I don't speak in french...
