Night and day difference. 4Motion is a more basic all wheel drive system that also has a high and low differential that allows for amazing off-roading. Quattro transfers power between wheels that will allow the car to maximize torque--hence the reason it is so amazing, no other all wheel drive system is like it. (this is a very simplified version)
I've driven that stretch many a time! One year, I went to Reno with friends, it took us almost seven hours just to get to Truckee. It was crazy, people got out of there cars on a dead stop freeway and started playing ball. Long story short. When we finally reached Truckee, they turned everyone back and we had to stay in Reno another night. Which wasn't a bad thing for me as a gambler. ;-)
It was rough!.. I love poker tables and video poker. I do loves me some blackjack too! That day we got turned back, I manged to turn it into a golden opportunity. Gambling wise I managed to make more money in that one night, than I had the whole weekend previous. I was pretty stoked!
