in the Toys Section look for a Triops Kit which here in Texas

cost 9.99 plus taxes but you can check any Marshalls in your state

it came with a small plastic tank

a bag of Sand a bag of food one back ground for you thank

and of course the bag of Triops Eggs :) I hope it helps you

if you want them to grow nice and big,put a slice of carrot about the size of a quarter. And a little bit slimer.

I once hatched these and they got about 3 times as big. After I ran out of food for them, they started to eat each other (poor guys). The moral of this story is be sure to have enough food.

Mine are doing well there are 5 of them in their so im going to start putting carrots and stuff in to make them grow larger, however my dad says it will fowl up the water.

You shouldn't put Triops in a big tank before the 8th day of hatching, they'll die trying to look for their food, but if you have that many, I don't see the problem.

I need help I got my Aquasaurs ( Triops ) in delivery but theres ONE PROBLEM!! NO GRAVEL OR SAND!! How are my Triops suppose to breed if the females don't have sand or gravel to lay there eggs??? (its not the volcano one)

Yesterday midnight (17 hours before this posting), I opened my packet of triop eggs onto a container of water and left the container on my window so the sun can warm the water up to the temperatures of the lower to upper 90s (because in NYC, its 90 degrees to 98 degrees today). Do you believe this is a good method of hatching the triop eggs?

@kewlgoku1990 sure,first i poured distilled water into a container(the amount will very on the size of your container),next i set the container with the water 10 in under a desk lamp four 12 hours (use the light as an artificial sun after they hatch),keep checking the temp of the water it needs to be within 74 to 86f. then put the eggs in use the light as an artificial sun..if u have any other questions just go to my profile...i hope this helps, by the way ill hav videos of my triops soon

I put my triop/s eggs in the water 2 days ago....nothing. I see the eggs on the bottom of the tank. It says it can take up to 72 hours. The water is the right kind and tempature. Why arn't thay hatching?

I know nothing of tripos, but your question is pretty basic. Each egg should carry one, unless the egg is infertile or damaged.

Holy friggin damn thats a lot of triops!!! You got lucky! I dont even think I had that many eggs... I put half the container in one dish and half in another (in case one failed.) Im on hour 30 and can only see one triops inone of the dishes thus far under perfect conditions.

you need to put a certain amount of hatching nutrients for the certian amount of eggs you put. also is your water between 21 and 29 degrees celcuis? one of these may be the problem.

These triops have hatched and grown unatrually quick, it usally takes 24 hrs to hatch and then another 3-4 days for then to grow to this side.

This here an unnaturally large yield. On average 2- 10 hatch from a kit. The replacement egg kits are harvested directly from a pond and often contain the eggs of water fleas, fairy shrimp, and other micro organisms.

It's always a good idea to use distilled water as there are too many minerals in well water and too much chlorine in public water.

It takes 24 hours for them to hatch and don't move the tank around or the eggs will corner at the side of the tank and wouldn't grow. Oh, and don't use tap water

I was sent replacement triops eggs when my first set of eggs failed to hatch. The replacement eggs were very effective. Several dozen triops hatched. Maybe they were fresher eggs or something.
