is there a way to connect a 6 gen ipod nano to a computer without a usb port? My dad was trying to jam a blackberry usb cord into the usb port and he damaged the port so that it will no longer work.

I cant get into my itouch it doesnt recognize it when i plug in the plug to my itouch to the computer. I went to reboot it, and on the screen it has the itunes symbol with the usb cable sign, but the actual itouch isnt recognized on my comp, what do i do
