Hola estimado lachito. Ya escuché esta pieza que recomendaste y está bonita, no es mucho mi tipo pero sí es el tipo de música que te relaja ya dedicándote a escucharla.
De Vangelis ese hit que pegó con la película "Charios of Fire" SI me gusta mucho, ví la película y lamentablemente no puedo opinar lo mismo, me aburrió infinitamente y nunca he comprendido como es posible que haya ganado el Oscar a mejor película de 1981.
@Javier636 Hola mi estimado Javier; No se si te refieres a la musica o al tema de la pelicula, sobre el tema es como siempre: Los judios no se meten con nadie, se dedican solo a lo suyo, son buenos etc, por ejemplo En niño de l Pijama a reyas, L a vida es bella, Soy David, El pianista etc. pero sobre la musica si hay que dedicarle tiempo, no es sencilla, no es una ranchera o una cumbia, es como escuchar por primera vezs la musica clasica.

A mi no me gusta la música ranchera, las cumbias si (obviamente no todas pero me gusta el ritmo pegajoso de la cumbia, la música de Enya me gusta muchísimno, especialmente sus dos mas gandes hits, "Orinoco Flow" y "Caribbean Blues", Orinoco Flow me trae recuerdos de cuando visité Venecia, Italia. Es una pieza lindísima, bajé la letra del internet y me gusta mucho cantarle.

@Edit0122 Kansas City, Missouri to me is my home but it's also a very confused place. I looked at pics of where you are from and I loved the tiling on the red roofs and I saw a lot of yellow older looking buildings. I think your home is older than mine so to me it's romantic. I work on web sites and when I have clients I like my work I also went back to college later in life to seek an education because of the recession.
@Edit0122 What about you? Do you like your job? Do you like your city? What I meant about KC being confusing is it's both open and closed minded at the same time. The state of Missouri historically was a slave state and we had wars with our neighbor state Kansas which was called Border Wars. So in the historical context we have a lot of hidden racism yet I also see a lot of tolerance and compassion in how giving Kansas Citians are to charities and such.

He tells a story about how he was at war and heard someone playing this song from their apartment as he was going to fight. I did not understand, I was little, but still evokes a good feeling. This show was late at night on TV, and my father and my mother always watched. I can only hear it when I slept in my parents'bed. I really liked to sleep there, I felt safe there. I wanted to induce a comforting feeling of the video.

When I watched the 25th anniversary edition of " Chariots Of Fire " the filmaker and artist had originally planned to use this as the theme song ; however, the artist change it to that jackass, hokey tune. This eventually became " Year Of Living Dangerously " theme song !
@palmerjass I agree. This song suited the mounting tension, romance and the Indonesian setting of YofLD; it only added to the dense atmosphere of the film--unlike the CofF song which I find grating.

THE YEAR OF LIVING DANGEROUSLY. wonderful film of 1982 by peter weir! vangelis's score (l'enfant of opera sauvage) is haunting. a love story (mel gibson and sigourney weaver) unfolding amidst the political chaos during sukarno's regime in 1965 indonesia. for portraying the role of (male) billy kwan the great linda hunt won the academy award for best supporting actress. go for this movie!

When I watched the 25th anniversary edition of " Chariots Of Fire " the filmaker and artist had originally planned to use this as the theme song ; however, the artist change it to that jackass, hokey tune. This eventually became " Year Of Living Dangerously " theme song !

I don't agree. It is definitely not sounds the same. That one is good too, but I prefer this. Chariots of fire for me is hackneyed....

@palmerjass I agree. This song suited the mounting tension, romance and the Indonesian setting of YofLD; it only added to the dense atmosphere of the film--unlike the CofF song which I find grating.

A Hét még nekem is meg van, de igazán a film hatására tetszett meg pont azért, mert ott más hangulattal, más vonatkozásban jelent meg!
Engedjétek meg, hogy örömökben gazdag boldog új évet kívánjak, bár most én is itthon vagyok, és valószínüleg még meglátogatom az oldalt, de biztos, ami biztos!

Hard to believe that this originally was the Chariots Of Fire theme song ! What a stupid ass to go with the other song that became a hit , alot easier to make fun of -do lots of parodies !! This song has art ...

Nem vagyok kifejezetten Vangelis rajongó, de ezt a zenét imádom. Valójában még nagyon rég, amikor a filmet láttam, akkor tetszett meg ez a szám. De Vangelisnek van még egy-pár ilyen szerzeménye. Örülök, hogy tetszik!

@negyoktavos Én pedig annak örülök, hogy neked tetszik.Bár én a filmet nem láttam.Én még kisbabakoromban hallottam először ezt a zenét, amikor ment a Hét című műsor,s ezzel kezdték.Mindig akkor ment amikor az édesanyám fürdetett.Akkor úgy is hívtam hogy a fürdés zenéje:)Azóta persze más színt kapott a zene (31 vagyok), de persze változatlanul idézi a gyermekkoromat is,de azon kívül is nagyon tetszik.Igen, van még jópár ilyen mérvű zenéje a mesternek.

Köszi, a képek egy részét a kepguruponthun találtam.
Az aposztróf elé és mögé nem tettem szóközt, a kötőjel elé és mögé tettem. Nálad nem így jelenik meg?
Na mindegy, biztos van jobb dolgod is mint engem kiokosítani youtube-ból.
A google fordítóját próbáltam zeneszámok szövegének fordításához, de arra nem valami jó.
