  • i dont matter if shes mixed or not if yuh have any % of blk in you your black!!

but look at that hair its not a mixed childs hair blk can come in all shade isnt that why yall call us COLORED

  • @ladyASolveg i surely understand what is to be black better than you because i am black...i was just saying that most of the black leaders are light skinned...im just saying that at a certain point due to the fact that she's mixed her speech is not 100% right when it comes to her...because i know what she say is really right. but on the personal plan there's somthing not real....no appologize...no offense...the fight is in the blood and as long as she has african blood it is ok.

  • its funny how she talks for black people...she's very light skinned and im sure her mother must be white...no offence...but got keep it real though...

  • @021kdu It's possible anyone in her family preceding her could very well be Caucasoid. However have you even considered her family lineage to be possibly Asian or native American Indian (north-south-carribean) or East Indian??? Or, how about this, the anthropological science behind the Causaiod evolving from Negriod??

Learn about the Causaiod evolving from Negriod and then think about what you learned, if you dare to bother.

  • @021kdu so what if her mom or dad is white? Does that make her less of what she is in your eyes? Also does it matter what you think? It's most important how she sees herself and what that means to her and the people who care about her and what she has to say. So YES you are offensive and that's real. But it's ok though, just because you and many like you don't understand what is is to be black don't make her any less black or less proud to be black and rep it.

  • Dig It? Isn't It Beautiful? YES!!!!(0:

  • This is why I went natural. One day imma wash my hair and let it air dry and just walk out my house......not in the winter tho, cuss......ya knooow.

  • @niceperson31295 Why not today?

  • @emaresea I know right. :)

  • "dig it, Isn't it beautiful?", lol. i can dig it.

  • Im not sure but doesnt she realise shes not fucking black?

  • @sneakykebab I'm not sure, but do you realise your ignorance ? You will learn that black comes with different colors, as in different shades you know.. That's all I have to say. Pay some respect to the women who fought for something relevant.

  • @NappyND I dont give a toss if shes black, white, brown, yellow, purple or orange! Im merely stating the obvious, all credit to her. However shes not completely of African decent, that is my point.

  • @sneakykebab See, you could have put it this way directly. Maybe she is not completely of African decent, my point is, she still stood up for Natural Hair and African Pride. So excuse me, she is more proud to be black than these dark skin sisters wearing fake hair/weave. And I believe that this is what matters here : the acts. Don't judge by color. We've done that for centuries, and we've seen how ignant it is.

  • @sneakykebab are you really that stupid?

  • @KingLeroyDavid No but im really this cynical!

  • @sneakykebab She IS fucking black. Why don't you think she's black? Because of her skin? NEW FLASH RETARD! Black people comes in all shapes, sizes AND colors. You're dumb.

  • @niceperson31295 Who gives shit!

  • @sneakykebab I wasn't fucking talking to you.

  • @niceperson31295 Funny because Im sure you called me a retard & dumb at one point!

  • @niceperson31295 OMG! I haven't even read it yet but I KNEW that some ignorant white person would have said something about her not being black. WHY are those people so damn DESPERATE to have us claim some kinship with them? WHY? They should be happy just knowing that they came from blacks to begin with but we as a race will NEVER embrace this "not black" idea. ALL African Americans have varying degrees of black ancestry and yet we are ALL simply BLACK! 100%. Period!

  • @niceperson31295 I truly think that white people just cannot begin to fathom just how utterly annoying that B.S. and how much of an INSULT it is. They STILL think that they can tell Kunte that his name is Toby and he is just supposed to accept it because THEY say so. BLACK encompasses ALL African Americans regardless of European or non-African ancestry ...which MOST of us DO in fact have. I truly think it's a divide and conquer game since WHITE people are diminishing quickly!

  • We have gone backwards

  • Yes! Yes! Yessssssss!

  • lol she and my granddad talk alike… that is too funny. but, yeah, i love this video! @youreveryrad, the natural movement is alive and KICKING! it's less a movement and more of a way of life, i would say. i'm 22 and living it for my future children.

  • i dig.

  • "dig it"

lol, why don't we still use this?

  • :-D

  • she was hot. That Eldridge Cleaver was a dirty old bastard

  • I love the way their hair looks :D i am natural too and can't wait until my afro gets big like that :)

  • BLACK NATURALLY BEAUTIFUL!!! The best!

  • @molossian u r an ignorant fool.

  • I love it

  • Comment removed

  • LOVES IT!!! SAY IT...and we are not Black we are BROWN by their definiton...hmph...reach ONE teach ONE...LOVE to my beautiful cosmic brothers and sisStars...Hotep~

  • @tavonda2 I am black and their are many shades of it but its more of a attitude I THINK THAT'S WHY I SEE

SUCH REGRESSION IN BLACK PEOPLE. NOTHING COSMIC JUST FACTUAL WHEN WE REALLY START TO UNDER STAND OURSELVES THAN WE CALL OURSELVES BROTHER & SISTER IT WILL HAVE TRUE MEANING AND A BELIEF IN IT.

  • Comment removed

  • Kathleen IS white. But I did like her Afro. I like it too.

  • @MrThomas564 black is an attitude and her expression of that is beautifully displayed.

  • @MrThomas564 LOL! Yes,she is.

  • Beautiful words.

  • the lady in the beginning is a mulatto with a brown bush. by the way, is it me or people in the 70's had disgusting teeth.

  • it's crazy how light-skinned she looks now, compared to back then smh.

  • i feel so elated, so proud, watching stuff like this.

  • It is the deepest desire of black people to be as close to white as possible. Look at the black role models, "sex symbols" president they all look closer to caucasian than black. WE ARE INTHE AGE OF EUROPEAN RULE!!

  • @Illuminated7 Blacks themselves don't even view whites as attractive. It's just that whites want to force blacks to view whites as so. Whites are more accepting of blacks that resemble whites than regular blacks. That's why WHITES placed Obama in the white house. Blacks aren't interested in white looking girls. They like girls like Monica, Keysha Cole and every type BUT white. But whites feel that if they use women resembling white women, that EVENTUALLY Blacks MAY be interested in white women.

  • It is the deepest desire of black people to be to be as close to white as possible with out completely converting. Look at your role models, you "sex symbols" etc., all light in complexion. WE ARE IN THE AGE OF EUROPEAN RULE!!

  • The Lion-hearted women appears to be half-white or Dominican. Louis Farrakhan,

Jeremiah Wright(Obama's fire-brand preacher) and most black leaders that oppose white the most and are most effective are usually half-white themselves. Interacial relations produce the warriors of the black race.

  • @Molossian

Yeah god, it does seem that lighter-skinned and/or biracial brother's/sister's have had a very significant hand in DEALING with the "Beast" and his beastly *system*; you're right about that!

  • @Molossian Or maybe its due to the notion that black people are more inclined to follow a light in complex black person. Look at the hierarchy of the NOI.

  • @Illuminated7 I think that helps the obedience aspect in an organization. But while most black preachers just talk about jesus, most Creole Preachers I know or mixes like Jeremiah & Farrakhan are more focused on the oppressive lifestyle HERE caused by jews. I think blacks have a different mindset. Even Malcolm X was firebrand and look at his half white mom. But he was also weaker in being 1/4 white unlike Farrakhan and Jeremiah. His weakness led to his assassination.

  • @Molossian ummm no not really smh I know plenty of biracials who could give a damn about black ppl.

  • @jazzyphay21 So. The only "black" leaders worth anything are biracial. Blacks as a whole don't care about themselves. Malcom X mother was half-white but appeared to be a genuine Latina with straight hair and all.

It's because Blacks aren't smart enough. Blacks fall for EVERY jewish trick. Jews force Black-Couple celebrities to the back & put biracial couples to the front. Blacks think most celebrities are interracial marriages. Biracial leaders can see that JEWS are behind "your" errors.

  • @Molossian That's all a bunch of bullshit and interracial propaganda but we'll agree to disagree smh

  • @jazzyphay21 Yo this person Molossian is INSANE I have NEVER EVER seen any comments like this in my life. This is crazy...

  • All blacks in this country have white blood in their veins. My great grandma looks white. I wonder why?

  • @havebold123 And a lot of whites have black blood in them too. I think there was a study, that showed 5% black ancestry in white people.

  • @jazzyphay21 Also, Angela Davis was biracial and she was lion-hearted just as this woman is. It has always appeared that half-blacks care more about the Negro species than real Negroes! Youtube and watch the video

Angela Davis: The Black Power Mixtape

  • @Molossian

Black is black. Whites believe in racial purity.

  • @Molossian You seem like a moron, your statement, "It has always appeared that half-blacks care more about the Negro species than real Negroes!" how can you say something so dumb, bi-racial people who accept themselves as Black are part of the struggle but are and never were at the forefront of the struggle, stop trying to make bi-racial seem better than blacks? Are you bi-racial? Do you feel like bi-racial is the new black??? Is that what you are promoting? Just askin..

  • @lmarr07 No you are hurt by the fact that the Negro in his/her pure form has no sense of what's going on or how to face thier obstacles. I'm not being prejudiced but biracial "blacks" carry the burden for Negroes. Every prime opponent to white supremacist, ironically are half-WHITE themselves. Louis Farrakhan, Jeremiah Wright & even Malcolm X's mother appeared latina though he was 1/4 white. Malachi Z. York is said to be Yamassee native American & Negro. Pure Negroes are less aware of THINGS.

  • @Molossian Sorry but Biracial shouldn't be allowed to call themselves Black. They are half casts. Nothing more nothing less They only call themselves Black so they can identify with something. They should be called mixed breeds, mutts, or house niggers.

  • Kathleen Cleaver was gorgeous!!!!

  • This woman is incredibly gorgeous!!!

  • im a white hispanic and i dig this more than straight hair on black women.

  • Kat, looks like Marsha Ambrosius.

  • @antwandaplaya Really? Stuff like that goes on in Australia today in 2011?

Are there actual Africans in Australia? I know that there are Aborigines in Australia, but their hair is kind of straight, isn't it? And Aborigines' hair is also blonde when they are young. Isn't that the case? There is the disjunct population in the southwest Pacific region (such as people of Borneo and New Guinea) who appear to be African with respect to their physical characteristics. Intriguing.

  • Where is that black consciousness now?

  • @GodOfTheInternets

Ruined by hip hop culture. everytim i accidentally turn to BET it makes me want to cry.

  • @mscocorosie

Ya sure? I listen to The Coup, Dead Prez. Hip Hop is not the problem.

    Maybe it's "learned helplessness"

Also, the father of Hip Hop was a black revolutionist-gil scott heron.

  • @GodOfTheInternets

The evolution of hiphop culture and hip hop music are two different things. One of them is benign and the other is actively malevolent.

  • So inspiring...I am wearing my fro proudly!

  • :) beautiful

  • Right on !!

    Black is beautiful...

  • Blow-out kits.

  • I had an aunt who has always wore her hair natural. Every since I was a little girl in the 60's I never seen her press or relax her hair. She was a dark skin woman who proudly wore reds, oranges and yellow and held her head high. She would love this movement of women wearing their hair natural but she also respected those who wore wigs, relax their hair.

  • I must say, Kathleen is a beautiful sister.

  • LOVE IT!!!

  • Damn, where is the movement today? People, we need to start celebrating ourselves again - rise u!p!

  • @youreveryrad Where do you live? Is that natural movement not thriving where you are??? Because there's a natural movement, that's been living since then, it got smaller after the 70s but now it's thriving and it's international! Not just USA! But Latin America, Europe etc

  • @youreveryrad You do realise that the Panthers were not a carnival for "self-celebration" (whatever that means) but actually were a political and social party of revolutionary men and women who sought active change in the communities that they were living in.

  • @NSnake91 Yes, I am more than aware of what the Panthers did and represented.

  • Now what happen to our culture where we don't feel like this anymore?

  • @gogobergie2000 lol. We still do feel this way. We were just temporarily insane for a minute there (80s and 90s).

  • yes it is beautiful

  • GOD!!! SHE IS SEXXY!

  • Black is beautiful!!!!!!!!!!

  • I absolutely hate seeing sistas with weave. THIS is the way to go, natural. God made you sistas just right.

  • Black Americans are VERY ignorant..and thats the truth folks!!

  • @spierce100

    Need a hug?

  • Has Beyonce seen this video?

This was made filmed when I was born 43 years ago and may have made a small difference for the following 2 or 3 years but over the last 40 years it has been totally IGNORED by most so called Sisters!

Its a shame. Maybe Kathleen Cleaver's daughter should do another video like this RIGHT NOW - providing she aint blonde and wavy!

  • @UFCritical If Beyonce hasn't, I know her sister Solange has seen it! That girl is working her natural hair and may have single handedly bring back braids by summertime

  • @youreveryrad Braids will be back by 2013. It takes 20 years for fashion to come back, and Poetic Justice came out in '93.

  • @youreveryrad And yeah, Solange's hair is boss.

  • Word!

  • The Book " Untangling The Roots Of Black Hair In America" is a good read if anyone is interested in discovering the underlying historical message behind the linage of african american hair!!!!

  • @gdinethatruth90 It sure was! It was the biggest reason why I've gone natural :)

  • Sista girl, god we need more women like you!

    Africa arise!

  • @sprucepantherkmt HELL YES!!!

  • HAHA. BLACK IS BEAUTIFUL. DIG IT?

  • i can dig it!

  • @ :45.....Dig it...Isn't It beautiful ?????

  • dddddddaaaaaaannnnnnnngggg. thats awesome

  • It's important that we accept each other where we are, and love even those we disagree with as black people. we were lied to, and continue to be, sisters love our brothers, brothers love our sisters. and lets go!!! and o yea.. grow a fro! lol

  • In 2011 blacks are regressing...I wear my hair natural and proud everyday all day!!!

    BLACK IS BEAU-TI-FUL!!!!!

  • @ElPressie lol yea i rock my natural hair too and so do alot of other girls in my highschool.. ATL =)

  • damn....broke it down and spoke the truth....

  • she was gorgeous:)

  • She was so fine back in her day.

  • This was a VERY good place in time for conscientiousness ..... We need to hear more of this conservation today. Maybe it could launch a well needed re-awakening of our minds.

  • I absolutely love this video!

  • <3

  • Awesome!

  • Thank you for posting this! Beautiful beautiful video!

  • Black is beautiful!

  • Black IS beautiful!

  • @Beerschot Awwww, Little inbred white cracker descendant of neanderthals mad??? You sound so ignorant, Black is Beautiful... Deal with it.

  • Comment removed

  • @Beerschot back then she would be considered black. Remember, it was different times. If you weren't white, you were black.

  • @Beerschot The operative word is "pass". As in she could pass.... Who would want to do that except, for a mixed nut? Obviously, she wasn't crazy.

  • @Beerschot I can send you pictures of white people hanging and burning mixed race men alive (who looked Italian at the least) just a little bit before the time that this movement was going on. So white people did indeed see people who looked like her as black. It was whites first who disregarded admixture in blacks and felt that black blood was sufficient cause for abuse. And calling this woman out of her name like that is totally uncalled for.

  • @Beerschot You may think that you're better than others but the words you choose to speak show and prove what type of person you really are. To call someone you don't even know out of their name shows that you have no cooth and that you have a very low character. What have you done for the betterment of another person? For someone you’ve just met? When you spread negativity to people unprovoked you degrade yourself as a person. And maybe you’ll be judged for that.

  • @Beerschot So, because you're mixed race you can't be proud of being your culture? Because I know a shit ton of fucking white people that claim 1 % Native roots and that's apparently okay.
