Yeah but the day shift ppl are stupid (especially conrad) and can't solve cases as well as grave yard ;P, so they pass it to them...

And yes. They do sleep. Just not on the job. You see, they work a case in the morning they sleep at night. Night case and sleep during the day. But Grissom, being the hard working workaholic he is, he sleeps in between shifts. Or so I heard.
