I think you raise some good points, me and a friend were speaking along these lines earlier, I tend to be more of an optimist, I think the condition of overpopulation came about through our ignorance. History is filled with genocides for whatever reason, it just happens as a natural response to a given social condition. I would agree were at the point of a "social condition" as we hit the point of overpopulation/no resources.
Then you land on the question of, what happens when our resources run out, as we in the US are resource hungry. Naturally we all find our own way to get resources or rebuild our lives, if no suitable replacements are found. This would probably be dramatic. But it would be a product of our nature.

Christ was literally crucified & resurrected? The Bible is not a reliable source of history (if it was you'd have to believe in demon possessed pigs & talking donkeys). Paul never claimed he met Christ "in the flesh". The assumption that he actually knew Christ only came in the Gospels.

@vizulfun It is a little unsettling, yes lol! None of the scriptures are eye witness testimonies to the events & there's no substantive evidence outside of the Bible. You say the Gospel is fact but you cannot prove it and you have to accept you believe it on faith as the evidence doesn't stand up to scrutiny. As I said at the start - "Your oppinion that God exists is still subjective".

The best you've got are some scraps penned in 50 A.D. & written in Greek which, BARELY HINT at New Testament writing. It's estimated, that all the scrolls were written between 150BC to 70AD, about 2000 years after Judaism was founded. Calling these scriptures "eye witness acounts" is about as accurate as calling a man living in the 21st century an eye witness to Christ.

If a mass culling is planed; Why don't they encourage people to kill themselves? Why is it illegal? Aren't most depressed among the undesirable? I don't deny that this could happen somewhere, even in the USA....but being open about it is a way of prevention.
Personally I think reducing the population isn't a bad idea, but you don't have to cull people in order to do it. All you have to do is encourage sterilizations. If the state gave people $10,000 to do so...people would in droves.

History is filled with genocides for whatever reason, it just happens as a natural response to a given social condition. I would agree were at the point of a "social condition" as we hit the point of overpopulation/no resources.

I think it's realistic. Social circumstances could almost demand it in some form. As I see it a either A) Active choice of a governing body or B) Natural circumstances (loss of infrastructure/resoruce=people going crazy).
Makes me want to visit China and see what it's like, and the level of questioning that's allowed or to say how their government evolves if it does. Again not very educated on China.
