  • preheat oven to 350 degrees 170 g butter 250-160 g flour 60 g sugar 88 g custard powder 40 g milk powder water for the filling: 2 eggs 60 g sugar 85 g water 85 g milk (i think that translates to 0.375 cups) so basically mix all the ingredients for the shell until it's resembles a coarse meal, and add a little bit of water if it's too dry. Knead it into a dough and then place in the fridge for 15 min before you start filling the molds (make sure you keep it even you don't want a thick bottom)
  • is egg needed to make the dough?

  • Butter 6 oz, flour 9 oz, sugar 2 oz, custard flour 88 gm, milk flour (?) 40 gm, milk.

Eggs 2, sugar 2 oz, water 3 oz, milk 3 oz..

After kneating, place in fridge for 15 minutes, then to tard cups.

    250 for 10 min, then 150 for 25 min.

They call it butter egg tard for a reason - lots and lots of butter - make sure your diet can take it. But, what the heck. They are delicious!!!

  • aiinmomu: I forgot to mention they have Part 2 - The Recipe - though not exactly corresponds to what the lady says here. Excuse my spelling mistakes.

  • they look delicious! making me hungry.

  • r u using a toaster oven?

  • 2.Preheat the oven to 450 degrees F (230 degrees C).

  • i just made eggtarts at school today

220 degrees is perfectly fine as well.

    and helps prevent overcooking :)

  • Hello. Just wondering, what temperature were the tarts baked at?

  • the lady in the video said 250.

  • is that ok if I skip the custard powder / milk out ??

  • yes. but you have to add some water to make the dough ball. Amount of water depends on your situation.
