I can never find the video again but there is an episode of britain's got talent where a little black boy was up there singing and simon interrupts him and you think he's going to tell the kid he was terrible or something(it was actually kind of bad) but he asks the kid if there was a song he would rather sing because the song he was singing didn't seem to match his voice. As for bringing age into it, there are plenty of performances of Adam at 22 and younger that are easy to find on here. Age has very little to do with it. Age (and experience) can give you more confidence, training can teach you to make the most of what you have, but natural once in a generation talent? You either have it or you don't.

I sincerely believe that if he had kept this as balladic as he did with Tracks of My Tears (my personal favorite performance of his, btw) and Mad World, he would have won this season. He puts so many nuanced changes of his own into his interpretations, that if he had just stuck with how he sings the first 45 seconds of this, this would have gone down as an all-time great up there with Bridge over troubled water, etc. I still love him tho.
Adam Lambert VOCAL range is very multiplex @hyperiontheevil. I personal like the fact that he didn't play it safe on AI & he sang each songs with his own interpretation, mixing different vocal registers. He used Falsetto (*scream* as you describe it ) Modal register, Vocal fry register and Whistle Notes, he basically Sang is heart out on that show.I don't no what type of music you listen to, but each to their own taste I guess. Adam Lambert is AWESOME! I wish him all the success in the world <3

Love,Love,Love. To hear Adam sing any of these songs is just Awesome. He is a Winner without American Idol. Can't stand that show now. After Simon left, Paula, and Adam. I don't care who tries, it's not the same, the new judges say that people are good when they aren't, so no one with the balls to tell the truth.

@Mark6024 Completely agree. 7-10 years in the business is alot of maturing. The Beatles were together for 8-9 years before they hit it. James is terrific, Adam is a polished professional, years and years on stage. He is an actor, singer, and a thrill to watch. Knows at all times what he is doing, and is fearless.

@Mark6024 Actually adam has had tenor, countertenor, classicall, most advanced training anyone ever had from 8 years old to 15,. combined with light operah training. But at the end of the day adams musically gifted, I just diddnt see that with james, but thats my opinon. Also adams personaility etc.

3ku1... Understand the difference between Musician(songwritter, producer,instrumentist) x Vocalist (singer) x Artist (all the arts envolved) x Performer (carism, stage presence). Casey is indeed the most creative/genuine Musician that ever came across american idol. Look how he swiches some songs with his bass playin. Adam is indeed the most complete performer/vocalist that ever came across the Idol stage. Couldnt say more bout it.
