My Aunt and Uncle lived there back in the 70's . They had a farm there and there was an old house there too. I have not been up there in a long time.

There is two railroad tunnels side by side of each other. At least they use to be. You might have to look for it next time you are at Buffalo Mountain. There are railroad track on top of the two tunnels.

I can remember when Buffalo Mountain when it use to have old dirt roads and big rocks. There were not that many houses back then. It use to have a creek there but I don't know if it still dose.

Well we decided to move to Gray TN, not to far from Johnson city but We went for the weekend and fell in love it's so much more relaxed, and the people are nice!!

how can I get to that overlook? Is it where the sign says "no motorized vehicles past this sign"? 30 minutes from the parking lot?
