{"..let somebody other do the singing part."} That applies to a lot of "blues" dudes, but people want to be frontmen, not just band members, so you 'often' end up with guitar work ten times better than the singing. With enough work, a lot of folks can become very good players. Vocals? You have to work, but if you aren't born with the pipes, you aren't going to be able to grow them. Thousands have copied every note Clapton ever played; how many have copied every note Rod Stewart ever sang?
He kicks into high gear at 02:50 on this one. Great heavy blues solo. 5 stars is all I am allowed to rate this? Youtube needs to setup a 7 star rating system.
All Eric Clapton followers who never heard Robben Ford make me laugh. They all think Clapton is the best blues player of all times. Ask them if they ever heard Stevie Ray... and they'll go, Stevie who?
He "doesnt get the credit he deserves" because he is still stuck in a mid-70's time warp playing sub-Lowell George/Steely Dan/Crusaders rubbish (with an occasional bit of SRV).
Who cares?
This sounds like something you would hear as backing music from a bad 80's movie. Or perhaps in a lift.
Dude you must have something stuck in your ears or a hole in your soul. Who cares about dates? We can all make it difficult for ourselves by getting hung up on dates... If this was something I could have heard in the 70's I'm bumbed that I missed the 70's.
I'd take this 'bad 80's movie ' music over 90% of the plastic media hyped shit that's out there ... By the way .. where's your bands video clips so I can critique your playing ? Robben Ford has more class than you'll ever understand you non-contributing zero.
Buy me a Mercedes better... lol. Without a doubt, Robben Ford is one of the greatest Bluesman the world has nowadays. I just don't get it... why doesn't he receive all the credit he deserves?
he does, really. The world knows he is one of the most important bluesman, actually, some people he is the best of all time. I disagree, i think Stevie Ray or Clapton have done a better work, but i love Robben, he's style is unique :D

The master should just treat his guitar and let
somebody other do the singing part...

May Robben continue to tour the world over while the critics continue to think they know what is good.
