  • can you believe that this guy is actually still the leader of our country? for 9 more months. forget the horrible things his administration has done, the man is just such a FUCKING IDIOT. GOD DAMMIT it pisses me off sometimes. what kind of fucking MINDLESS American could have voted for him in 2004, let alone 2000? i try to be understanding, but sometime i just fucking HATE to think that there are people like that out there.

  • Thank you for posting this. Brandon Stout was one of my greatest friends growing up, and I was so proud to hear President Bush honor his sacrifice. Thank you again, and God bless America.

  • wow.... he really doesn't have a clue does he?

  • I'm sure you do, right? Until you are talking to the commanders, generals and dimplomats in this entire operation and know each detail don't run your mouth on who has a clue and who doesn't. Your just a regular joe like the rest of us sitting infront of your monitor thinking you know everything.

  • No offense, but... you don't seem to have a clue either. I may be "a regular joe" but I'm also an informed citizen, so when Bush says "ordinary life is beginning to return" I know how full of crap he is. Evidence: 2 million homeless Iraqis inside Iraq, another 2 million refugees outside Iraq, electricity that runs at the same or worse than pre-invasion levels. Oh yeah, and then there's all the random killings and bombings. Wake up, fellow "regular joe," and start paying attention.

  • I see no source, or do you just repeat EVERYTHING you hear from ANYONE? In case you have forgetten, they are still fighting a war. Go ahead and rattle your own head by nitpicking the president's words. Of course everything is worse than pre-invasion levels, hello! No war at the time!

  • 2002-3: the UN says no WMD,CIA says no Iraq-9/11 link, some in Congress say we'll get stuck as in Vietnam. Bush says there are WMD, a 9/11 link, it'll be a cakewalk & no comparison to Vietnam.

2006-7: the surge will enable political reconciliation.

Now: no WMD,no 9/11 link,Bush says it's like Vietnam - we're can't leave (we're stuck) or it will get worse. There's no pol. reconciliation.

Bush's predictions & assessments were 100% wrong, because his policy is based on an agenda, not on facts.

  • Did you even listen to the speech we're talking about?. The fact is the president and his staff were RIGHT. Thats why the Democrats and the left are on the run, BECAUSE of those "Vietnam, all hope is lost" comments. They're at the point they are calling OUR OWN Generals..the ones who are on the ground in the thick of this shit, TRAITORS! Progress IS being made, we aren't stuck in anything.

  • Adm. Fallon has a less rosy view of Iraq than Petraeus & wasn't called to testify. He's writing his own report. There's a reason for both, but we must wait & see.

MoveOn said "Petraeous/betray-us", so I resigned. Saying US citizens are traitors is out-of-line. You owe me an apology, pal.

Amb. Crocker said that reconciliation (the point of the surge) isn't likely to happen. You ignore that.

Vietnam was a mess, but here you are, cherry-picking what helps you and ignoring the bloody rest. Typical.

  • I call U.S citizens traitors? I'M nitpicking? Read over what I posted, you're clearly confused. Whats typical is your hypocritical remark's. I look forward to Adm Fallon's report, yet it amazes me how the left chooses who it's willing to listen to, because Petraues doesn't deliver the bad news they'd hoped for they consider it bogus. I'm not ignoring anything, just winding down the long road of different topics you love to change to. Now THAT'S typical.

  • I read your post too quickly,I apologize.

Adm. Fallon may say that Petraeus is wrong. Bush's track record on facts is awful (WMD,Iraq-9/11,cakewalk Invasion, mission accomplished,US liberators, insurgency in last throes) Bush credibility is zero. 99 times bitten, 100 times shy.

Bush says Iraq isn't Vietnam, except for when it's to his benefit to say it is & cherry-pick again.

  • HELL YES! Can't we hear the lies he tries to pass as fact? WE'VE BEEN FED B.S. AND HE CALLs IT ICE CREAM!!!!!!!! WORSE, WE BELIEVE IT! I'M SICK OF THIS BS! What we need to do is revolt against this oppressor and take back the government! Let's reform the Sons of Liberty and drive Bush out of existance! As the constitution states: "We the PEOPLE..."

  • Bush is worried about his legacy now. If he were to pull the troops out of Iraq, it would make him look bad in the history books. The Bush, the national security of the United States is secondary to his portrayal in the history books.

  • Congress gave President Bush the authorization to go to war. This was effectively a political cop out, so that they would not be held responsible for what happened. Both President Bush and Congress are responsible for the unethical U.S. invasion.

  • Also:

Look at a picture of Bush b4 he took office, and then a present day one...you will find that he has the hardest job on the PLANET, give him a break.

  • dont give him a break, if ur gunna be president youve got to do a good job and lead not fuck up and get a pat on the back

  • Most presidents age considerably. The fact that the job is extremely difficult means that it should only be taken on by highly competent people. Bush is not one of them. Bush spins and lies all the time: "Iraq is not like Vietnam" "Iraq is like Vietnam" "18 Benchmarks which Iraq must meet" "Benchmarks don't count in determining success".

If Bush had been honest in 1999 about his neo-con agenda, he never would have gotten elected. He lied about that, too.

  • To Those Who Hate Bush:

1 thing you need to realize about Bush, he did NOT send U.S. troops to Iraq...CONGRESS did. So, don't put all of the blame on him. How can you blame him for going witht what the PEOPLE wanted at that time? Americans WANTED to go to war after 9/11, but were unwilling to follow through on it.

Just though you should give that some though.

  • Congress was lied to. Even Colin Power says that if he'd been told the whole story, he never would have said what he said in front of the UN.

Bush has been at the head of a neo-con agenda to set up a new American Empire. The only people in world being fooled by him are his right-wing nutso supporters.

  • Regardless of your political affiliation, the man is right. if you take a wider look that 'were in the middle of a civil war' then you'll realize that iraq is a key place in the future war with russia/iran.

  • I'd just be happy if Bush, Cheney, Rice, Wolfowitz and the whole gang were tried for their many crimes against the citizens of the US and the world. Bush acts as if all the death and destruction in Iraq is someone else's fault, when he set up the situation in which it could happen.

  • True that Bush sent citizens to guantanamo bay without telling them wtf was up and yes, i believe he should be impeached for it. but regardless, the war is progressing and iraq will still be a key point of operation in the future war.

  • Thx 4 uploading.
