Chicago Police Officers don't "club" people. Nor do Chicago Police Officers have "Billy Clubs". Why don't you Andy, stand right next to the Cops while we're getting bombed with urine and fecal matter and glass shards, and everything else that the "peaceful protestors" are getting together. Please, stand right there with us. If the peaceful protest was just that....peaceful, we wouldn't be needed.
Occupy is nonviolent. I'm just as concerned as you about violent protesters.
If the leaders of the G8 countries had not presided over the largest transfer of wealth and capital resources AWAY from the world markets and into the "private capital reserves" in the history of man, maybe they would not attract the wrath of others - and peaceful demonstrations, such as Occupy, would not be confused and conflated with the threat posed by those who may seek retribution.
The subject is the threat to our constitutional rights to peacefully assemble. All of Andy's remarks refer to the planned and permitted demonstration that the NATO/G8 coalition and Occupy have lawfully negotiated with the authorities.
You just want to cause trouble, plain and simple........Chicago is not going to take any crap from anyone. Were not like any other city, its the "Chicago Way" so don't come, or you'll get a little taste of Chicago, some people just don't get it.
And he is part of the reason that OC is dying in this city. We are a peaceful movement and people like him and Mark Banks have hi-jacked OC with their violent agenda.
Emanuel and McCarthy are against people's rights to protests? Barring the grant park fiasco, OC's actions have all been allowed to happen. People need to be honest that these G8/NATO protests are not without violence. And NATO is the bad guy? Tell that to Libyan who received help from NATO when Gadafi began to crack down on them. Thayer has been on record advocating violent conflict with the Police "because it is the only that revolution occurs"
What does this guy want? He's against Catholics, against Rahm, against g8/nato, against police, against fire fighters, against teachers, he's against everything. Also, there are some gang bangers in the background rolling up a joint.
Not against Catholics. Maybe you didn't listen. Against abusive language by the Cardinal and Archdiocese leaders. Never said anything about firefighters or teachers. Doubtful that "gangbangers" would be rolling a joint with the district commander standing there and a dozens of patrol officers standing around.

From Mark Banks: "Revolutionary victories come about through militant strikes, boycotts,
property seizures, and direct physical confrontations with power. These
are the sorts of things that many of us have been spending our time
discussing, inciting, and attempting to plan."

Thanks for commenting, nonetheless.

Thanks for speaking out on this issue. It's sad that our leaders don't support our 1st amendment rights.
