I just finished reading the manga for the series, and I gotta say, it was pretty amazing. I'm really pleasantly surprised that there is an english dub for it. I think it does a great job of summing up all the hardships and confusion that comes with crossing that bridge from teenage-hood into adulthood, and the harsh realties of having to grow up and learn things for yourself--sometimes the hard way.

I really love this series and can relate to Satou alot. His dream in the opening scene is a big metaphor about his life. The hail of gunfire and bombs being shot at him talks about how he feels victimized by society, when he jumps into the empty snow covered field it's describing his lonliness, the ghost is his past which haunts him and the ocean describes his future, a scary, uncharted territory. The only way he can move forward and explore is by confronting his past.

Wow some of these comments that I've read are really rude. There are many people who can't leave the house and is afraid of the outside world. It doesn't make them a "pussy" or doesn't mean they should get "laid." Getting laid won't always solve someone's problems. Sometimes people can either be born the way they are or it will just develop in them because of horrible events happening in their lives. As for social anxiety, it can happen to anyone at any age.

It is not something that I really decided - A bunch of things just happened in my life at once. So, with all that stress, social anxiety just kind of "popped up". It can certainly get better, mine has. People who say such rude comments are ignorant, they really do not understand. Haha, I have no clue why I felt the need to respond, but I appreciated the comment.

I know I've always been the quiet person though. I moved from place to place ever since the age of 8 and I think that's where my problems spiraled out of control.
