Nope, Obama's better by far. 9/11 fucked up Bush's presidency and it was all downhill from there. Of course 9/11 started the recession but Bush hurt it even more, fighting two wars (wars are very expensive), cutting taxes which did not help the economy. He reversed Clinton's trend for surplus and took us to an all time deficit on yearly spending. He had no idea what he was doing most of the time and was quick to try to enact stupid legislation.

....actually understands the way that economics works. He realizes, or at least his administration realizes, that the only way to get out of a recession is to spend money and create jobs. That's the risk we ran when we decided on a capitalist economy. It's a great thing, capitalism, but it's very hard to maintain. Obama understands it, and is working on trying to save money, as well as bettering the lives of the American people. He basically inherited the second Great Depression.

The Taliban is not just resurgent at this point, but downright winning this conflict. Afghanistan has turned into a colossal failure in its own right and is yet one more blunder Mr. Obama has to deal with in his first term. He did depose Saddam Hussein as you point out.
