Years ago they foolishly enforced a one child per family law that does not bode well for the future as a smaller workforce will have to pay for the care of the older generation. In Bejing and other major cities Chinese citizens go to work wearing particle masks because the pollutuon is so rampant. The level of poverty in rural areas is nearly Third World. Finally, as they hold so much debt from the US, they cannot afford to see the US economy tank

Walmart alone purchases billions of their goods, as do most American retailers [ as almost nothing is made in America anymore, 50,000 factories closed during the Bush years].
