It's so strange... I have never really payed any attention to whales up until now. Something about them is so magical that struck me. Maybe it is their giant size and slow movement, yet at great speeds, and the ability to produce such sad, but relaxing songs that makes them seem above time.

They seem to be like giants time travelers... I am quite honestly shocked at this sudden love to these creatures which I have gained. They are mesmerizing.

I admit, the sounds of the whales are kind of hard to separate from the other noises. It's a low, sad, sort of moaning kind of sound. You can particularly hear it around 4:48 - 4:50. Listen to it again and if you're still not hearing it, there are a bunch of other videos on Youtube with whale songs just by themselves, some better than others, that can give you an idea of what whales sound like. Beautiful, but still not the same as hearing it live!

Get an mp3 converter for YouTube vids and just download the song into iTunes or something. Then you can put it in your own playlist and set to repeat. That's what I do. =)
