i am a high school student and will be applying to colleges starting in the spring od 2010. im considering attending MI, if you attend or attended MI can you give me some feedback about your experience?
I am in my second quarter of MI. Honestly one of the best choices i have ever made. its a LONG grueling process to GET in. but once in, everything takes off. You will quickly see how much you improve. Schedule yourself a tour and you will quickly see
I was there for an open house, and it looks like a real cool place to go to. I'm hoping to go there in April for the Association of Arts program in GIT.
I didn't have enough time to prepare for the April course, so now I'm going to start in October as well. I've been playing for 5 years, and I'm self-taught all the way. I just use tab books, online tabs, and I learn different techniques by ear. All I do is plug my iPOD into my Line 6 Spider III amp, and play for 3 hours or more. How long have you been playing man??
Yeah April is way to close for me to. My story is almost identical to yours man...lol I have been playing since I was a freshman(more or less) I had lessons for a three weeks then couldn't afford it any more. I only learned a couple chords and how to learn tab, I have a spider 3 line 6 75 watt I have a horrible ear becasue I used tabs so much. I play through a ux1 for my recording. have you signed up already? and what songs did you record?
I haven't signed up yet. I'm planning to record "Afterlife" (Avenged Sevenfold); "Vendetta" (Slipknot); "Human Beings" (Van Halen). I have the Line 6 Spider III 120W. I just didn't bother with trying to sign up for lessons. I wasn't really into guitar at first, and then I saw Aerosmith live, and I was so f'ing serious about. Then, I heard about MI from my dad, and through Guitar World magazine.

You will get accepted, they take everyone. The voice department is not very good. Don't worry, you'll get in. I think half, so there's room.
