Its funny how this generation is abducted by pop music! I'm sixteen yet I wish that I was born in 70's or 80's so that I could have grown up while listening to amazing songs like this one!
I am 16 and i wasn't born yet when this song was made. My parents always listen to 80s-90s song and i am so glad because i realized what real, beautiful music is. I love this song and I can't stop listening to it. It's sad how people nowdays care more about the look of the singer rather then the voice. This song is amazing. I can't find the right words to express how much I love this song!
@THEMASKFHC It's not natural. She had procedure on her vocal cords. She screamed, against doctor's orders, during her healing process, and this was the result.
This is a classic but you know, there was a lot of bad music in the 80's too. I was born in the 80s grew up in the 90's and became an "adult" in the new millennium. I will forever be belting out power ballads, rocking out to grunge, getting ridiculous to boy bands, and feeling strong and sexy to Desitny's child and xtina but this era has a lot to offer in indie, electronica and house music. I guess my point is don't miss out on the here and now just because you're nostalgic for the past!
first of all...158 dislikes wtf. how could you hate this powerful, amazing, profound song. but anyways, i loooove bonnie tylers voice, ive always loved this freaking song, and this video is great. she looks so freaking sexy. and now i know what the guy who sings in the song looks like...doesnt really matter but now i know lol. ahhh...1983, i was 4 years old. what a magical time:-)
when i hear this song is like a sunrise of my heart.. i'm sorry, but i was a lot younger , and very poor but happy in london when this song accompanied our ( me and my girlfriend ) nights..what a voice! i feel like crying..
@tersital1 Don't cry. Rejoice that you lived in that period, and experienced these songs as "your own" when you were younger. Wherever your old girlfriend is, she stops and thinks of you each time she hears this, too. It's important that you made actual, personal memories to that period's music. Now you have images to flashback to whenever you hear great songs like this.
My young teenager loves the songs of the '70s and '80s, but likes very few modern "songs". That says something, I guess.
@FLSHBK1 Take it from one who knows "once upon a time I was falling in love, now I'm only falling apart" is not a fond memory. I lived those words, in those days, and even today 30 years later the scars remain.
@BeenInACaveWayToLong Cave, that which doesn't kill us only makes us stronger. Pity the people who live their lives and never feel love for another. Your experience set a standard for your later relationships. You might NEVER find someone else who meets those standards, but at least you know a little bit more about yrslf and what you need in life. The more you break off a stick, the harder it is to break again. You honor your old lover by still remembering them all this time later. I like that.
I had this song in my head idk why nd i didnt know da name so i googled it nd when i heard it i started crying :'( im going thru some hard times wit my man
MTV ruined music. The golden oldies will always be the best. you cant beat a good old band without computered effects. Every drumbeat on music video's on t.v are not actually the drummer of that band playing it, Its a computer.
but obviously golden oldies are 100% talent. thats why i love it. im only 24 too
@MatheusLebrao i am 17 and couldn't agree more, Freddie mercury, David Bowie, U2, Uk Subs, Sex Pistols, Madness, the list goes on and on and on, where as the list of modern music i like is as big as an atom
