Side Note: Star Tours: The Adventures Continue will be set earlier in the film series' timeline, between the events of Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope, whereas Star Tours took place after the events of Return of the Jedi.
@Alpha0727 There's a video on YouTube taken from the new Star Tours queue from Disney's Hollywood Studios in Orlando. Captain Rex makes a cameo as all of the RX-24s are in crates and marked "defective". You can hear him stutter from time to time as well :)
@Alpha0727 They've been updated for the new Star Tours: besides Captain Rex's cameo, there's also a droid scanning luggage (which the Haunted Mansion's Madame Leota makes a cameo), various R2 units, an updated LCD monitor with the new destinations, etc.
@fivebearrugs Sorry for the confusion. What I ment by the same is that both ride queues in FL and CA are mirrors of each other and always have been mirrors of each other. The outside might look different but the inside looks exactly the same and has the same stuff at both parks.
WOW! To be honest, I had some skepticism about the new Star Tours, but with the new Star Tours featuring 54 possible different experiences, I take it all back. I can't wait for it to open up over at Disneyland. 54 Rides in 1.
I am glad that they finally made good on their promise. In the original ride queue, the flight information board promised forthcoming adventures to Hoth, Tatooine and Dagobah, and displays the text "Soon Endor Won't Be The End- At All". That has been up since 1987.
@magnifyit1 Statistically speaking, yes, each ride would be different. In reality, each time you get on the ride, the computer will pick 1 out of the 54 possible different experiences. Then you also have to factor how the computer is programmed. Can the computer choose the same experience twice in a row? Are the 54 different experiences played in a row? Is there a cycle that won't let the computer play an experience more then once out of every 54 rides?
@magnifyit1 This is pure genius on Disney's part. You want people to keep returning to your parks? Then created a ride that has 54 different outcomes; where every ride can be a totally new experience. I am going to guess that if you try and ride this all day, you might have a miniscule chance of experiencing all 54 different outcomes. You might go weeks or months without seeing all 54 experiences. (That is if you go on a regular basis and/or live 20 miles from a park, like me.)
Damn, Disneyland has EVERYTHING!!!! Little Mermaid ride, star tours?! If they made a Beauty and the Beast ride like the Little Mermaid I would be on my way right now. xD

I will miss Captain "Rex" RX-24 played by Paul "Pee-wee Herman" Reubens. For anyone who does not know who Pee-wee Herman is, you fail.

@Alpha0727 what so if you ride it 54 times it is theoretically possible that it is different every time?
