@aayooh we were already free, spiritually. the swedish king was never a real threat. lenin gave independence but if he wouldnt have, we would have taken it. in second world war, specifically the winter war and continuation war, stalin wanted to conquer Finland. Finland had only 4 million people and Stalin killed 60 million, so we would have ended up dead and not occupied if Stalin would have succeeded. Finnish people wuld have never surrendered so only option was to try to kill us all.

We had a civil war "Kansalaissota" and you really can't explain stuff like this with "We would rather just get bombed" view.
