I met him today at his restaurant! I had no idea he owned that place. It was an honor to meet this guy! He was very approachable, friendly, & social! Wow!!!
He is such a great actor and does seem to be very down to earth. Many people do remember him from Karate Kid II, but as far as the 80's go, I will always remember him from Better Off Dead as one half of the racing duo that went up against John Cusack...he announced everything in that Howard Cosell voice...."Lanaguage Lessons". Lol
Have not seen this movie but gonna get it and I admire and respect Yuji Okumoto's work and like his movies and he has very high standards and seems to me like a very down to earth person, He will be best remembered for his Karate Kid 2 performance!
Yuji Okumoto is a great actor. I always wanted to meet him and someday work in a movie with him. I wonder if he would ever come to New York. I like him in Karate Kid 2 and Mean Guns.
I am meeting him tomorrow! With my tennis team since Yuji's brother in law is the tennis coach of my high school and we are celebrating our season at Kona Kitchen a restraunt that Yuji owns! can't wait!
I live in Seattle, and been to his restaurant and met him several times. Him and his family are really cool. Always nice to shake his hand. What an awesome individual. Stay cool my friend.
kind of nice to see them portray the true story behind the back story of Mr. Myagi in World War 2. Mr. Morita would be proud, and i am saddened by the fact that he wasn't around to be a part in it.
