Raised Catholic. After Accepting Jesus, I went to Catholic Church expecting to be moved..found it dead and dry. When I started going to a Pentecostal church, my father didn't understand. Finally asked him..did you raise me to follow the Catholic Church or Follow Jesus? I explained that I needed the freedom to praise and worship that wasn't available in the Catholic Church. I need to be where God was free to move in a service. That freedom simply isn't available in the Catholic Church.
@NForceDrama I grew up at this church. If freedom means being controlled by your emotions and being stirred up by music, i don't want it. I seek something inbetween i really like the intellectual aspects of the Catholic church, something the pentecostal movement almost totally lacks. Why can't we have the intellectual aspects of the catholic church and the spiritual depth of the pentecostal movement?
I was born and raised catholic, and I never gave it my full dedication. A few years ago, I found God at my friends church, but my parents didn't like it because it wasn't catholic. So now they are forcing me to take confirmation classes, and I really don't want to get confirmed.....the more they push it on me, the more i've grown to hate religion, and myself. I want to come back to the light, but I just can't.......... someone help me please
at the end of the day, it's your choice. your life. your faith. Don't let your parents push you into conforming into something that you know doesnt feel right. It may be hard to say no to them but you need to or else you will lose any faith. Maybe explain to them that although they may be settled in the catholic church that you are an individual who has their own takes on life. Will be praying they listen :) hope this helped :) x

Got back from youth about 30 minutes ago and we sang this song. I'd never heard it before. God's anointing is all over this song. It's already brought me back to a place where I know I have a purpose God mapped out greater than I could imagine to advance His kingdom. I just got back from Jesus Culture in Atlanta and I heard Jake Hamilton for the first time. He's absolutely amazing. God has put a call on his life to reach out to the youth of my generation.
@nataschachrista14 It was amazing!! I went to it 2 years ago but I'm glad I came back. My youth group and I had a 3 hour long healing/praying revival at our hotel! It was awesome. People were being filled with the holy spirit, crying and laughing, etc... and to be honest, I think we got more out of praying at the hotel than we did at the malls and such.

I kept seeing people on my fb page talking about Jake Hamilton and how awesome his music was. I kept wondering, "Hmmm...i wonder if this is the same Jake Hamilton who used to be the worship pastor at my church." And it is. I used to work in children's ministry with his wife and everything. I'm so glad he's out there doing what he loves and making music. His lyrics were always very moving, and I have no doubt that he will encourage many and bring others to the Lord through his gifts!

Got back from youth about 30 minutes ago and we sang this song. I'd never heard it before. God's anointing is all over this song. It's already brought me back to a place where I know I have a purpose God mapped out greater than I could imagine to advance His kingdom. I'm so honored He chose me (and all believers) to spread His good news and love, I'm crying. He is so good and His glory will cover, soak and drown the universe forever.

Hey Guys, I know most of you wont bother with this, but to those of you who feel compelled to, could you please pray for my mother, her name is shawnda, she has been sick and in pain for a few years now, and recently diagnosed with an incurable disease :'( With out my mom i dont know what i would do, i dont know. @xXAeviternalAriXx - its just in his video for his Marked By Heaven album he said that he was reminded to stop using "me" "i" and "us" in his worship songs, but he keeps doing it. i mean, there's nothing wrong with it it's just i was at the Jesus Culture Atlanta thing and the only time the worship service was about God at all is the last night when Chris played. because "we" can only change the world through HIM.

@nataschachrista14 It was amazing!! I went to it 2 years ago but I'm glad I came back. My youth group and I had a 3 hour long healing/praying revival at our hotel! It was awesome. People were being filled with the holy spirit, crying and laughing, etc... and to be honest, I think we got more out of praying at the hotel than we did at the malls and such.

@randombritt4 Haha! My youth group just like adopted this song as our little theme, we just can't get over it, and at youth camp, every night we had 4-5 hour services...and I love revivals. The youth of this generation needs so much just to unite, and shake the gates of Hell. ! We are gonna change the WORLD!

I kept seeing people on my fb page talking about Jake Hamilton and how awesome his music was. I kept wondering, "Hmmm...i wonder if this is the same Jake Hamilton who used to be the worship pastor at my church." And it is. I used to work in children's ministry with his wife and everything. I'm so glad he's out there doing what he loves and making music. His lyrics were always very moving, and I have no doubt that he will encourage many and bring others to the Lord through his gifts!
