This is better than the original mainly because it omits that damn chorus which seemed to be de rigueur in Hollywood at one time, although Rozsa resisted this practice in his wonderful overture to Ben-Hur, possibly the finest music for film ever written.
what a wonderful movie....i just love those epic bible movies of yesterday...they were so powerful, and moving......Jesus, you ARE the king of the heavens and the earth. Amen
I abandon myself into your hands; do with me what you will. Whatever you may do, I thank you: I am ready for all, I accept all. Let only your will be done in me, and in all your creatures -- I wish no more than this, O Lord.
Into your hands I commend my soul; I offer it to you with all the love of my heart, for I love you Lord, and so need to give myself, to surrender myself into your hands, without reserve, and with boundless confidence, for you are my Father.
@charel196 -- I'm serious. I actually enjoy your version and prefer it to the original. The original was good, but with this, what was good is now almost perfect.
@CJKaram When I was ten years old my father took our family to San Francisco to see the premiere of the movie, KING of KINGS. I remember the chills I received when Jesus healed those that were sick. Yet it wasn't til I was 24 that I believed and was saved.
I like this music and movie, but it's curious that Jesus and the other people are so mis-portrayed as blue-eyed Aryans when they really were middle Eastern.
@dougjensen - I agree it would have been better if they had used Middle Eastern Jewish persons, but since Jesus died and rose for all humanity I just see it as Aryans and people of color all included in Him.
@dougjensen You are totally correct that is why I love the look of James Caviezel, in 2004, "The Passion of the Christ". Robert Powell, also worked brilliantly as Yeshua.
Having been in the mid-East, you will see blue eyed people. Yes I know, this is 2000 years later. People DO migrate, always have.
Is God Almighty like human beings.... or there is nothing like him...

THANK YOU. It was a Blessing to me to find this on YT. I have lots of memories attached to this theme and this movie. I found the Lord in 1978.

Dear Mr. Jeffery Hunter, You may not look Sephardic, but your acting in this role was perfect!
