Well this is not weird because my grandma has a cat that is 32 years old and she is still alive!! Secret is that she didnt ate any cat food or something ,she ate everything my grandma did for lunch etc. EVEN FRUIT Sara the cat looks way better than this one btw ;))

ah reminds me of our 20 year old cat who died two years ago - same type of hair and everything. He collapsed and we had to have him put to sleep as he was distressed. He was on pain meds for arthritus, heart meds, water meds, hyper thyroid meds - for 6 months before he died. Past his sell by date but much missed and loved.

Arthritis often hits old cats; this is arthritis. Fluffy lives on in the YouTube video; she passed from this life several years ago.

I used to have a 23 year old cat. She died in her sleep on the night of her 24th birthday just last year T_T my parents were considering taking her to the vet to be put down but I managed to make them change their minds. I simply asked them this question: "Would you rather die warm, comfortable, and asleep or die in an unfamiliar place, held down on a cold, hard table while being injected with chemicals?" It worked ^_^

I should try that argument out. My mom wants to put down our 19 year old cat, and im trying to get her not do it. Ive had him since I was 6 or 7 months old, so we've grown up together. It'd be like killing a brother.

Well it depends on the condition the cat is in. If it's sick and old, sleeping almost all day and it can't even keep food down, have mercy on its soul and end its pain. If it's a healthy cat, it can walk around, eat, etc. then by all means, let it pass on through natural causes!

Hes healthy, doctor says for his age hes great. My mom is just tired of taking care of him and says shes tired of having pets in the house. Which i think is messed up reasoning to kill a cat.

My father have same réactions when my parents 18old year cater catgirl feel bad.

He said to my mother who said "perhaps we have to bring her to the vet" "no, because she never come back at home." The little thing died the day after.
