@gmkilpatrick It just seems unlikely that a dakota could make it up with great tires... You need the clearance to get momentum, and a hell of a lot of weight not to loose traction. And, how does your Ford have more clearance? And honestly, clearance isn't everything.. Even with clearance, in 2wd you'd need weight to stop the wheels from spinning.

@KrAzYxInKy i was up to the bottom of the door in mud at work one day and crawled out no problem. stick shift you can control wheel spin. and it was a 92, and had helper springs and had a small lift with 35's, it was a old farm truck. and who said i'd have an empty bed? it sat as high as my buddy's 96 dodge 2500 cummins thats stock height. the next big snow i'll have a video of me fooling around in the snow in my buddies field to prove that i can go up a hill as such.

But yeah, its done by the dealership not by ford. its not a ford lift, its fabtech or whatever they choose. the dealership does it, then reaps all of the extra money you pay for it. they do it in the states too, just gotta find a place. only advantage: warranty. disadvantage: cost.
