I was reading Joe Strummer's biography and that's when i heard of this song. It is up there with the best football songs of all time. Just imagine a room with Joe Strummer, Shaun Ryder and Keith Allen in all at the same time let's just say they'd smoke half of Colombia within a week !

wicked cool.... i was 14 in '96, not a big football fan (well, not one at all) but caught up in the joy of the mood Euro '96 generated. was only 10 in '92, so i missed out completly on the Madchester scene of the late eighties to early ninties... and i live in Stockport which is, for want of a better word, posher than manchester... but rougher than cheshire. kind of.
