  • That is some funny stuff matt...

I love the kid in the tree.

  • It would be much more meaningful if you showed the bike & setup

  • Well, sort of. This trike is a development item designed to torture test the reduction systems I manufacture. If they can take this kind of abuse, legal power is easy on them.

This type of vehicle cannot be licensed and registered in Illinois. You pretty much have to just electric convert an already licensed vehicle. Illinois is tough in that way. That is why it is best to stick with a pedal vehicle and keep the speed down. Most of my personal bikes are ridden under 30mph anyay.

  • Shame it's now an electric vehicle and needs to be licenced, tested and registered eh?

  • can you make a video on how the motor is attached?

  • The kid says "Dads Crazy" lol Cool bike, nice job

  • The kid says "Dads Crazy" lol

    Cool bike, nice job

  • Is this matts trike he built with twin Astro's?

  • @inagod Yup, that's me. :~)

  • holy dog shit!!!!!!!!! now thats what unemployed life should be about! they should start a religion after you.

  • I can't help just have a big smile on my face watching your creation , love it want it.

  • At about 1:02 the kid says "Daddy's crazy" hehe. Cool trike Matt. I'll be needing one of your systems soon.

  • how many volts r u running?

  • You are my new hero. Please oh please give us some more specs such as what model of astros, what kind of batteries, the details of the reduction system and sprockett adapter, what kind of controller, etc, etc. Would love to see more photos and detailed materials list.

Also, we know it's fast but what kind of range could you get if you used it conservatively.

  • Just curious on the cost of the setup I've got a custom 27 speed kmx viper any info on where you bought the stuff would be great. I bet that thing is a blast!!!

  • I manufacture the reduction system and rear wheel sprocket adaptor to convert bikes and trikes to electric using Astro Flight 32 series brushless motors.

I amm currently working on a trike that is 28hp and 90 ft pounds of torque at the rear wheel at 65mph. :~) I should have video of that trike in a few months when it is finished.

  • hi, back again . blimey that thing must be so much fun.

  • lol, that make mine look like pedal powered and i run a 36v 1 kw motor in my kmx

  • holy crap dude! i didnt know they made warp drive for bikes! that thing is an absolute missile now!

  • HA HA thats awsome I would love to have a fly about on that

  • Woooo! Really impressive !!

    Excellent work!

  • Not on the pavement you see in the video. It it only 0 to 40 in that same 4.5 seconds in front of my house. I need to go to fresh pavement and preheat the tire to see 50 in that time.

  • Is it enough traction to do 0-50 in 4.5s?

  • Oh, it is actually geared for 50mph as seen in the video. I was guessing at 45. It runs 0 to 50 in under 4.5 seconds.

  • It is running two Astro Flight 3220 motors on 12S 30amphour Lipos (20C) through two custom Castle Creations HV140 speed controls. ;~)

    Matt

  • What motors did you use to get the 12.5 kW ?
