This cinematic was above all the best in the game! I wish they had these instead of those picture slide shows for each mission. And why would they send in the marines via air when in the same mission they use fucking amphibious vehicles for the RANGERS!!!! No sense at all in that bit imo.

Because in game, its the second attempt to take the island. The first attempt is what we see above. And well they couldn't handle it so they send in Rangers and Lt Parker.

@4everstrong13 this makes no sense. Why they did that was just retarded. however, it was a good attempt. it seems to be coordinated assault. The Air Assault (something Marines utilize) and the Amphib (obvious) could have been completed by both the Rangers and the Marines. However, they seemed to want to throw everything at you and create emotion, which they did well. Damn the developers for always killing Marines first!!! Damn them all!!!!!!!!!

Plaaaaay the game. That's how they wrap in the main characters from Fort Lewis. They were deployed to the European theater and were on their way home, when New York was hit. Ellis Island was taken over by the Reds, USSOCOM went in (as featured in this video) to try and push them out and (as we see in the video) it didn't go so well. So, the guys who still had their shit wired tight and were already in the area were diverted to liberate Ellis Island.

I use air transports all the time! I use them at the beggining for rapid deploymeny and in the middle for surprise strikes behind their badks (after softening them up with arty from airborne infantry)

No. The trick is just don't get them anywhere near the bad guy. If your infantry has to walk, so be it. The tranports are basically really fast, slightly more expensive jeeps.

-Eh every time i tried it, (few and far in betweeen) i got shot down like a bitch! ( i was on beta and demo) So, i just stuck with Armour/air/reg infantry/ and sometime artillery.

-Just that i couldnt ever postition em well, AA everywhere.

Like I said, transort helos aren't gunships. Use them in the same role as you would a truck. Drop of the infantry and then get them outta there. If you encounter aa, just pull out and try dropping them in a different spot. If you can drop off the infantry in a forest, just make them walk the rest of the way.

This is why it is so hard to retake Seattle since you are working with exhausted reserve units of the American army. Have you people ever heard of Mutually Assured Destruction? It was how the world worked during the Cold War and it is how it will continue to work so long as we have nukes and the enemies do too. In other words it would be very unlikely for a nuclear winter to happen not that it isn't possible, just very unlikely. It's not an ingame scene, but it is the preface to a level in the game. I think this is a pretty awesome trailer personally, it captures the only essence of WiC-our own helos getting shot down by the Statue of Liberty.
