I absolutely love this scene- a genuine feeling of goodwill between two very different groups, and what comes at the end of this musical is REALLY going to question all the well-wishes the Russian troops are giving the jews of Anatevka.

@ludicrus32 In all fairness, in the world of this musical, the Russians in the beginning-middle of this musical are more or less clueless as to "what" will come. Then when they finally receive the orders of what they've been expecting, they just have no choice but to follow them or end up like the Jews themselves. It's a harsh reality, and the ending really does show how well this musical brings two different worlds to the screen while at the same time allowing each to keep its uniqueness.
