They did plan it, that's why it was a good angle at first because it was realistic. However, in reality, Matt would have never been able to sneak in undetected like he did without security stopping him before he even got anywhere near the ring. Matt was re-signed with WWE ever time he "invaded", if he weren't and this was not real they would have cut away or something and not shown it to everyone.

No, it wasn't staged. If you knew anything about "research", you'd find out that he was fired from WWE. Matt and Amy/Lita were dating, and the Lita/Edge storyline came about. Amy cheated on Matt whiletheir character storyline was in progress and Matt found out about it. This leading to the attack on Adam/Edge backstage. He found out.

I fell asleep on this feud. I just hated it because I like all three involved. It pretty much soured the fans rep on Lita for life, propelled Edge to main event status for good, and made Matt out to be a joke. Although now with the way things are set up, I hope Matt and Edge have at least ONE World Heavyweight Title Match.
