Have you guys seen the movie? Its a polygraph test designed to look into ur eyes and their eyes change when they get asked confused with complex metaphoric question. The screen turns to a fuzzy bar screen and that's how u know they are a replicate.

As for the question. If a person was smart enough they could interpret why you don't help the tortus by turning it over.

The Voight-Kampff machine (or device) is a fictional interrogation tool, originating in the book where it is spelled Voigt-Kampff. The Voight-Kampff is a polygraph-like machine used by Blade Runners to assist in the testing of an individual to determine if he or she is a replicant. It measures bodily functions such as respiration, "blush response", heart rate, and eye movement in response to emotionally provocative questions.

@mrculo262 So the purpose of the test is to see if they would get pissed off by something a human would not? This is interesting because humans are complicated beings and I might react to a simple question differently then you. If I didnt like my mom and somebody ask me about her I would respond in anger, while somebody else would not. So Im still trying to understand how they catch the Replicant.

@HuggumsMcgehee the point of the test is to test the level of empathy the subject feel. Replicants aren't supposed to have any, so theis test will determine whether you are a replicant or not.
