  • What do u really wanna say Mr?...that u do it your own way...that's what Robbins is saying all the time!

  • Is this guy a rocket scientist ?? I learned nothing from that lol

  • Jim Rohn, Robbins' mentor, said the very same thing.

  • I like that he stresses that it is not about "Competing Philosophies" but rather finding what resonates with you, and using that. Tony actually touches on that theme in his work....He says something along these lines, "If I read a book, or go to a seminar, and only get 1 thing out of it, or if I actually start to *use* something I have learned because of it...what a concept! then I have gotten benefit from that book or seminar."...

  • I thought he was going to talk about how Tony Robbins was wrong. The subject matter seems to be more about viewing multiple perspectives and thinking for yourself. This video doesn't seem to have much to do with critiquing Tony Robbins.

  • Well said.

  • Very good take on the "self help" approach to personal development for all people to find their happy medium.

  • What the effing his talking about?

  • I have had some great adventures in my life because 30 years ago I took his personal power course. Every few years I review and update my goals. I have listened to the secret a few times put it does not empower me like the Robbins course does. Lately Tony is getting foul mouthed so I have lost some respect for him. IMO people who swear a lot either lack intelligence or self esteem or both..

  • @bushbarnes Sometimes strong words are the only thing to jolt someone out of their pity party. Don't be so worried. He certainly doesn't lack for intelligence.

  • Quastion: How come there are less succcessfull people then unsuccessfull people?

Answer: Because the few dictate the many, the few at the top, control top down.

  • @Metatronicus True. It wouldn't be special if everyone was successful.

  • But not to bash Tony and The Secret, they are both fantastic, they help a lot of people. My main beef is especially against people and the attitude on how they are entitled to things without putting in any effort. So my earlier comment about the BS advice is about the simplistic attitudes some will take regarding effort in life. Tony asks you to do work, The Secret... well, not as much.

  • There is no real difference between Tony Robbins and the Secret and maybe 7 out of 10 "gurus" out there. The message is simple- A: get a vision of what you want B: Plan it out C: work towards it. The Secret simplifies this step to it's roots while Robbins elaborates, gives direction and talks and talks and talks and talks and talk and talks. Many self help authors give the same BS advice and I am always peeved when I hear the following: avoid working by doing something you love. Pfffft.

  • huh

  • Thanks for all of the comments. If you've got something constructive to share, please do so. If you don't, don't expect a response or reaction from me. I'm not about debate. I won't engage with critics or cynics. I am about helping, encouraging and advancing people to live their potential and achieve their goals. God bless! Michael

  • nice subliminal american colors in the background; blue milk carton red love hearts and white background and stars. Nice speech.

  • Tony Robbins is awesome!

  • @mikehoncho83 Only you can identify whether or not someone's worth listening to. I wouldn't hand over trust to pieces of paper or other people's recommendations.

Everyone has the qualifications to speak, and it's up to you to decide if you're going to listen and - if you do listen - what you're going to believe.

  • There are A LOT of people who read, read, read and NEVER take any action. Like if they read the next book magically someone will pop out and manifest a company in front of them to walk in and own. It's not enough to just read, read, read for the sake of reading. You have to take action on what you read. That's like putting gas in your car and never starting the engine. It just seems I hear many followers of people like Tony and others make a career of following and just reading.

  • so true, take the bits that you like out of things. dont need to solely follow one school of though.

  • huh ? I don't get it since when is Tony robbins disagreeing with LoA ? He does actually support it in some of what he is teaching actually...

Taking action, being in a state does not oppose Visualizing and Having Faith that u'll get to where u whanna be. You and the universe need to do you're part. As for thinking patterns Tony talks alot about mental focus witch is the key to "using" LoA.

I agree with this vid but I also don't see how it could be any other way tbh...

  • The two are mutually dependent. The Secret does not say that you don't have to work towards your goals but rather you must visualize your desires into your life to have them manifest. There are times when we desire something yet unknowingly focus on what we don't want. The distinction is to look where you want to be when you are working towards it. Pay attention how and what we focus on and then direct our focus and let it radiate our being because whatever we focus on will become our reality.

  • You won't find many scientific papers written on the "law of attraction", because it's a pop culture concept with no grounding in science. Tony Robbins' stuff is demonstrable and repeatable and has nothing to do with the magical thinking behind the "law" or "secret", which rely purely on a fanciful interpretation of events-painting bullseyes around your arrows after they land.

  • I agree, though title misled, the talk didn't misled at all.

I see, hear, read, study many and all say read book, listen, go to seminars. Then they write a book, give teleseminar on their take of what works for them.

Everyone will come up with their own recipe for success that can assist others find their own, should one decide to share it. Tony's recipe makes a good meal don't you agree? Thanks for sharing your thought.

  • since we see the same from different angles, id like to open your subconsious creativity a little more.

observers are 1 way. another way to think of things are to claim everything to be a part of you. when i pet my cat, i wonder how my cat self would feel if i pet him. my tree self shade my human self(get the picture). if you put limitations on things, you tend to limit yourself. im sharing this cause am experimenting in other situations to get many people involved to have global changes

  • Huh?

  • Tony basically teaches the same thing as tloa.He just does not go into overdrive with it. the difference is...he shows you how to activate it....

Physically and mentally which is something that the people from the law of attraction vid left out...on purpose i guess

  • didn't anyone tell you that the other half to the secret is taking action. Law of attraction brings opportunity but that means nothing if you do not take inspired action. That is something all the people in the movie the Secret talk about in their own seminars. There is really no difference between TR and the secret. Tony robbins just takes it to another level. I like the guy who made this. Seeing how we are the observer. I love how we all have opinions about everything we see. attack attack

  • Tony doesn't disagree with the law of attraction. Intention is good, however without decision and action, it means very little.

In other words, you can hope things with change, but if you keep making the same mistakes (decisions) and doing the wrong things (actions) you'll never get there regardless of your bliss.

  • First I heard of any competition between TR and the SECRET. But there is no competition really. What I know of "the Secret" TR has been saying for years. TR doesnt just preach "being in state" he also very strongly encourages a belief in something higher than human consciousness. It doesnt matter whether its karma or Christ, just have faith. He said specifically that we get what we focus on, and he said it years before "the Secret." He just says it with a less magical twist to it.

  • forget secret. its all INFO. there is more than meets the eyes. your constantly changing your past and side timelines undetected. creativity, believes, emotional energy, KNOWING is the key. want a good source of info. look up books on Jane roberts(medium) who speaks from a non-human entity. i put myself in a situation where i tested all i learned and it all worked. The Psych gives you everything you ask for. it is a part of your body. give yourself credit and become aware of the ego.

  • this is the guy that runs the dr. phil show..you didnt know that dr. phil is actually a dummy and this guys is the ventriloquist

  • Uh oh! My 'Secret' is now out! :-)

  • @elperdedor23 its not what you say it's how you say it. I didnt hear a thing you said because your energy was about as convincing as the thimble collection behind you.... Really? A thimble collection?

  • I think you're absolutely right! You know, what you've just described is exactly the same process that Bruce Lee went through with martial arts. This is clearly a winning philosophy.

  • There has to be a point that you must commit to a strategy and trust and believe what you are following. If you continue to question or combine strategies you'll find that you're simply constantly assessing and theorizing and not ACTING.

  • Yes, I totally agree with you, Michael Murphy! I have read (or listened to) tons of self-help material. I've taken bits from all of it and applied it in ways that are best for me. It's like I found my own unique "common thread."

It's like a film maker who studies 400 different directors. What emerges is his own unique directing style, aided by 400 different approaches!

    Thanks for the vid!

  • Take the law of attraction and tony robbins combine the both and youll have THE LAW of TONY. I take whats important and apply it to my everyday life. Even the bibble helps. PEACE!

  • I agree. Your right on! I'm doing that as the same for the approaching women program and other life coaching programs as well. I listen to multiple life coaches and dating gurus and see what works for me and put it into my own philosophy. I actually recently started doing this. :)

  • If we are to unlock our own wisdom and understanding we need to listen to a variety of people saying similar things in a different way and this is how you feed yourself with knowledge, wisdom and understanding on many different levels. Then you can go out and teach what you've been practising. Great video.

  • I agree, using the secret is one of the ways of achieving personal success. Tony Robbins methods are also effective.

  • Awesome Vid Dude
