People need to realize that these robots are still in the testing stages. Don't expect these prototypes to be in production within the next year or so.. It will take anywhere from 5-20 years for these to actualy be helpful and useful. For now be patient and be happy at the technology we have today.

Not so much a "Robot Chef" as a slooooow mimic-doll robot. I've seen a pizza-making robot that is dumber, but actually works correctly using a food-stand design.

As I see it, the robot only recognizes the visual shape tags and not the products in front of it. It also requires human action to control any tools it uses (and human action to clean those tools later).

Good for you in realizing we are not at the matrix level with robots yet. Which is a good thing, because it can use a knife. Still, It's interesting.
