Stone Sour the modern hard rock of this century, slipknot in a different genre all together, there no influential area from slipknot in Stone Sour music, the style are different, unique in there ways, no band is superior, they just have same singer and Jim Root on rythem guitar. Corey adds intensity as in Slipknot but Stone Sour following its own musical path. We just gotta show respect for both bands and enjoy there art. simple huh? :P

I have to say, that I've always been both a hardcore slipknot and a hardcore stone sour fan, and I hate to say it, but Corey is driving both bands into the ground. Corey's gone soft, and now I can't listen to even a minute of their music without being discusted. very dissapointing indeed.

It's good that he's not close minded with music because he is really multi talented and is just using it to his advantage. He is putting his heart into something he feels. That's what real music is about. Some people can relate to his words and others can't.

@theblckhwkis1 Amen. I'm happy there are other people who get the picture! I've never really liked Slipknot mostly because I'm not much of a nu metal fan (with an exception of Disturbed). I like Stone Sour because Corey shows tons of diversity in his voice, whether it be heavy metal songs like 'Get Inside' or acoustic songs like 'Hesitate.' Before you criticize me for not liking Slipknot, check out the music section in my profile to get an idea of some of the bands I like.

Corey's voice sounds great again. I saw slipknot at downlload last year, and I thought that it had improved quite a bit since they started touring in 2008. Now, he sounds back to his best :)
