@Joeseffel over the years matt has improved his vocals and now CAN do the screams and soft vocals. only reason he doesn't scream or sing sometimes is when he needs to catch his breath after a verse line or vocal lyrics overlap eachother and thats where corey and paolo come in a lot. eminem does the same thing, he has another rapper with him when performing cuz he loses his breath after some verses. and matt sounds the same live as he does on the album, take that to the bank.

He had a lot of problems with cleans back in the day. When they made Ember to Inferno, he couldn't really sing at all. You can hear it on the album that the cleans don't have much soul in them, and some sound doubletracked. He got better for Ascendancy, though still had problems live. Thank god he did 2006 without screaming, he's a much better singer now.
