  • @anamasuf You are very welcome. ~~~~<

  • @anamasuf Thankssss from your friendly neighborhood snake priestess!

  • Hey, I'm doing abellydance routine for my sweet 16, and i've been dancing for about 3 years, but wanna do something bigger for my party. & was thinking to dance with a snake. My parents said it isn't safe, and you need to be a professional. Do you need to have alot of past experience to work with snakes for adance like this?

  • I know this is an older post and you are probably already 16, but I would not advise doing it with a snake that you don't know. I have never seen Serpentessa, but these are her snakes that she has worked with. It isn't dangerous unless you have a really aggressive snake that is not used to it, which would be weird, but if you or your parents still aren't comfortable then try doing a sword dance instead...which thinking about it does not sound any less dangerous...

  • @iwantcandyhoeee I believe I sent you a private post awhile ago. I hope your Sweet 16 was fun! Abt snakes: It does take time to bond w a snake & some are more willing to be with you than other snakesss. I teach many dancers to dance with my snakes which are Boa Constrictors. If you want to learn more, my Dvd is available thru me & Amazon. This is where this video excerpt came from. Or I can train you personally if you want. Just lemme know. ~~~~<

  • Thank you for your compliments

Of my own snakes, I'm not afraid, only very cautious when feeding them as they are very fierce then. As for other snakes, I'm more fascinated than scared. As a Snake Priestess I know their medicine can't always be as easily accessed as with the gentle red tail boa constrictor. This is why I work with this species; it is very willing to be our teacher up close & personal.

And these snake move so beautifully together creating the divine images of the universe.

  • Hi Serpentessa & Mikio! since our show at Cosm a few years back I have been entranced by the serpent thanks to you! now Russ keeps saying, NO! you DON'T need another snake!

(althought they always just seem to pop up!)

  • holy crap. how are you not scared of the snakes?? were ever scared, when you first started? (i am never gonna try this; i'm just curious!)

  • Very nice--I loved the end when the two snakes followed along your hip/back.

  • Yes. Snakes are always on a journey of the moment, sometimes an individual journey, sometimes a duet! So improvisation is the movement of the moment.

  • Beautiful! You are a tribute to all that is wonderful and exotic in the belly dance community!

  • Much appreciated. My snakes lead and I follow and they always look beautiful and mysterious!

  • love the video

  • Thanksssss!
