  • ....have I got a twisted eyesight or do I see a bald Charlie Watts in this one???

  • Mick...love the blue eye shadow.....too bad they didn't dust this one off for the ABB tour....it really fit the political mood....Can't imagine a world without the Rolling Stones!!

  • It's definitely Ron Wood on bass. You can see Wyman playing synth at 1:09.

  • that's Woody on bass, and he's a funky dude!

  • RWeGhosts? one thing certain, WeRnotSchizophrenics!

  • everyone thinks miss u is their first disco song

  • Wow!

  • Ahh..........the studio cut Bill Wyman played Synth , I also saw him do it live, Keith played bass live, and studio( thats what record credits say), and really don't it sound like him? Ronnie Wood played bass for the original Jeff Beck Group

(with Nicky Hopkins) before they became "The Faces" so yea Ronnie does play bass

  • Nice find!!!!!!!!!!

  • The fricken diversity of this group : I KNEW IT ALONG !

( THANKS BROTHER BILL ~ NOT WYMAN EITHER ) !

  • Love the bass taking a leading part here

  • Mick is fucking hilarious when he starts growlin' GOT ME DOOOOWN" lmao

  • I love it when he says "Hello BABEE" lol

  • i'm a big stones fan but this song simply stinks

  • Ye real cool, like it!! Deb

  • Ron Wood is actually a pretty good bass player. I always thought that was Bill Wyman on Emotion Rescue but thats Ronnie's on that awesome bass lick.

  • @dannyd1572

Yes, accordingly to Keno's Web stie, Ronnie plays on the title track & the song Keith sings ~ All About You !

  • i kinda miss the delays on mick's voice

  • the more things change the more they stay the same

  • damn! this is pretty funky...

  • Nothing like the fetal position.......8:08

  • isnt keith allergic to synths?

  • One of there most underrated jams.

Been playing the (studio version) big time lately.

  • Ron Wood on bass

    Keith on lead

    Mick on Rhythm

    Wyman on synth

    You're welcome.

  • @Maxlugar What about Billy Preston...his contributions to almost everything he ever did...cannot be overstated.

  • Of course it's Mick Taylor playing bass. Keith would never play such a complicated line - he would tear the shit apart! Bravo Mick!

  • Fingerprint File is one of the first attempts of the Rolling Stones to branch out into dance or electronic music, and the song resembles music by Sly and the Family Stone. On the original track present the rhythm guitar by Mick Jagger, which features heavy phasing due to the use of the MXR Phase 100 effects pedal, bass guitar played by Mick Taylor. Keith Richards the wah-wah pedal for his guitar. Bill Wyman is on synthesizer, Charlie W on drums, Billy Preston on clavinet, piano by Nicky Hopkins

  • I think it was his attempt to branch out into the African American Funk scene that was popular at that time.

  • @MORCOPOLO0817 Well they did a pretty darn good job of it on this track because that song is FUNKY.

  • We need more songs like this!!!!

  • Billy Preston on the piano, nice one!!!The song has also great bass riffs...

  • keith is probably taking a beer brake or something else :)

  • interesting seeing Mick play the main riff. What's Keef doing then?

  • Keith is playing bass

  • ok...so what's Wyman up to then? Probably scouting out 13 year old girls in the first 5 rows. LOL!

  • I wouldn't doubt that!...actually he's playing keyboards.

  • oh, yeah. now i see it. interesting. The Stones usually never change up on instruments. Keef's pretty funky on that bass.

  • Love this too -- Stones great in this genre .. what happened at 5:19?

  • man i love unorthodox stones line up! jaggers one hell of a frontman with a guitar! hes got style

  • Nice!!

    Bill Wayman synthesizer

    Ron Wood Bass

    Great!!!

  • Thanks! Great upload - this is becoming one of my favourite Stones tunes.

  • agree ! no more words needed

  • FUCKING HELL.......... mick on gtr...????? i thought all these decades that its keith with that Cm Eb/Bb Bb Cm disco riff there? and it's mick??? bloody hell?

  • Amazing track this... Great seeing Mick being so significant in his guitarplaying.

  • great song..not seen or heard enough

  • Love that groove outta Charlie! Clean and laid back and totally autopilot.

"These days, it's all secrecy ..."

  • Great song. I love it

  • ronnie wood is a hellacious bass player

  • god yes - my favourite bass player. Awesome in the Jeff Beck Group with all that treble - and that solo at the end of Spanish Boots. Bill's synth has a George Clinton/Parliament quality to it

  • @e7rachael I agree. I always thought it was Bill Wyman doing that great bass line on Emotional Rescue...nope- Ronnie.

  • @e7rachael

    You're twice mistaken.

Bill Wyman played bass here, and Ronnie Wood doesn't even play bass.

  • @e7rachael Ronnie Wood is their lead guitar player, not their bassist

  • @davidjaames Woody played bass with Jeff Beck before he joined the Faces and the Stones. He's as accomplished on that instrument as he is on guitar and has played bass on several Stones studio recordings. On this song on this tour, he played bass, Wyman played synth and Mick played second guitar (this was the first time Jagger played electric guitar on stage)

  • @e7rachael Im a Bill Wyman fan but I have to agree with you on that one. Just listen to this song and Emotional Rescue. Rescue has a great bass line.

  • Fuck ABKCO and never give those assholes anymore money!!!!
