  • I've been looking for this video for a year now! All I could remember from it was the shots where they're playing in the snow. The other day the name of the band randomly popped into my head, so here I am. I think I saw this on Bluetorch TV when it came out.

  • Lyrics: I'm only stopping for heavy breathing

I'm only stopping to hit the ground

    only stopping to regain feeling

I'm only stopping to hit the ground.

I'm only stopping for heavy breathing

I'm only stopping to hit the ground

I'm only stopping to regain feeling

I'm only stopping to hit the ground.

  • I've got some great memories of Dave. RIP bro

  • I saw this guy after his set in the crowed, He was watching Taproot back in like 98 or some shit. Great band. Tin Can Experiment was the album I had.

  • RIP Dave Rankin!

  • Love these guys....Lost on Liftoff (L.O.L. is Walt's new band, check it out) Their drummer is siiiiiiiiiiiiiiiick! And Walt always sounds good.

  • Track 15 on the ozzfest 2001 summer sampler cd, takes me back to days when life was simple and easier. ahhh memories lol

  • it is sad that there original drummer died i am lucky i got to see them twice with the original drummer but theyaa gut some new drummer i wish they would get back together and start a tour in maine

  • A Maine band! That doesn't suck! Actually we have quite a few of those but if they're smart they move somewhere with major record labels.

  • They'll leech their money, they should play at clubs and get a large underground fanbase

  • I HURD THIS SONG WHEN I WAS 7

  • gosh this song brings back old memories.

  • well i loved this song since i heard it over 7 years ago in a ice hockey videogame, but well, after seeing the video i cant take them serious anymore :D

  • I love this song, I wanna learn it on the guitar, anyone know the tuning?

  • yeah they played in something like DROP B... really low tuning

  • @TNA796 indeed it is drop B. i believe some of the songs on the second album are drop A too.

  • I actually have a signed Album from them. To bad its not really worth anything.

  • i first heard this song on nhl hitz 20-02. finally someone uploaded it. time to abuse youtube downloader lol

  • The singer and others went on to form "Lost on Liftoff," and I think they just released their 2nd or 3rd album...

  • YEAH 6 GIG 2002 NHL HITZ i was 8 when i heard it......

    NOW I FINALLY FOUND IT

  • I saw these guys open for Incubus like 8 years ago. Waiting in line at the Portland Theater, saw a dude with an old GI Joe shirt. Stopped him, and complimented on the shirt. Left with me saying "Maybe catch ya inside.", to which he replied "Yeah, maybe."

Turned out it was the drummer.

Awesome show. Lead singer crowd surfed while singing, and didn't miss a bit.

  • 04901 reppin

  • Them being hard to classify is what made them great AND what led to their downfall. It's a fucking shame they'll never make new music. Closest you'll get to new music from them is Lost On Liftoff. Go check them out.

  • i'm so glad to see this video again in a long time. i watch this before when MTV2 was still good. thnx for posting this video up.

  • 207 in the house, "04011"

they came with the living end

they got a new drummer and there not together and more

  • i got this cd on my xbox 360 xD i diidnt know there was a vid for it NICE

  • It's One of Those Songs That are Hard Categorize, Is it Alternative? Is It Rock? or Hard Rock?

Someone Told Me That They're Nu Metal, but They Don't Sound It

  • i think it's nu metal :)

  • It Might Be, They Have the Tuned Down Guitars

Have You Noticed The Lead Singer Looks Like Seth Green with Red Hair

  • The base on this song is amazing, I with it would've got the attention it deserved at the time.

  • heard this song in nhl hitz 2002 and its amazing

  • another great song from nhl hitz 2002

  • Love The Drums In This Song Great Drumming!!

  • i know the guy with the glasses on there ^_^ he goes on imvu

  • They were amazing!

when they played this song me and my friends

    flipped...thats when the mosh came!!

Favorite song and band @ the Rave n Rage!

  • just saw their last show ever last night, may 24th at the colisee in lewiston. amazing. as far as im concerned they were far better than dead season. they played this song, too.

  • Brings back some of the best times of my entire life. Cannot wait to see them at the big easy...wonder if I can buy tickets now??? Cannot wait to see them!!

  • Perhaps one the most original bands of our time with some extraordinary guitar playing and inspired lyrics. Don't miss the reunion shows in May. I'll always be a 6 Gig fan. Can't get enough of their Away King song on their EP. Exceptional music.

  • Jason Stewart replaced Dave Rankin on drums in 6gig. It was not Dave's brother who also is a musician. I believe this happened just before Dave died. Dave was a real cool guy. I got to jam with him a few times way before he played with 6gig. Ironically enough, we were trying to get him to replace Jason Stewart who has just left our band Positive Fuzz. Maine has a quite a musical family tree.

  • These guys are doing some reunion shows in may.

  • i love this song,i have their cd "tin can

experiment." did they ever release another cd?

i hate it when bands never release a 2nd cd.

i guess they broke up or joined other bands.

this songs will always kick ass!

  • This band is killer. I'm hooked on their album at the moment. Wish they were still together so I could see them live.

  • There doing a couple reunion shows in May. you should go man

  • i always liked these guys.

  • Comment removed

  • one of my faveorit songs the vid is pretey good too

  • christ... last time i saw you guys you were playing with craving theo, 6? maybe 7 years ago in portland... tin can's still on my top 10, you fuckin rock!

  • Maine ROCKS!!!

  • YESSSSS!!!!!!!!!!

  • Yea it's a bummer the drummer died. He was a very good drummer. Goes well with the band. Amazing band, and I wish I saw them live or something.

  • yes there is a video i was just playing nhl hitz 2002 and i forgot bout this song

it kicked ass and still does

  • yeah awsome fuckin song

  • red head is good

  • great band

  • 6 gig great band first heard them on no hit videos!!!!!!!!!!!red head u rock

  • Yes one of them died, I don't know if it was suicide or not but their original drummer died. But his brother took over and they continued playing for a couple of years. They split up in 2005 simply because they felt they did what they could with the band and wanted to move on to new things. Anybody from Maine will instantly recognize the video was shot there from the snowy field segments lol. Maine isn't exactly New York City when it comes to quality media production.

  • If you can find it, Tin Can Expierement was their album and it kicked ass.

  • OMG! So, im here smoking weed and I get a flashback of a time I was in Footlocker buying some shoes and I remember this video, and I saw the name and all! I love you weed! Damn, the human brain is a powerful thing if it can remember that 8 years after it happened.

  • ok obviously none of you really know this band. They are from Maine and the almost did make it. However one of them committed suicide. That is the reason they never made it. They are awesome.

  • good music corny video

  • Love this band. Too bad they did not make it.

  • OK music, but the people who made the video are amateurs. Ive seen alot better than this, I kind of like the music though
