  • ME did not save John. He should have believed in Jesus his God.

  • @paulborner111 I mean you no disrespect when I write gullible, brainwashed fool.

  • 2 atheist disliked this :p

  • @sean2kk8 It's actually the other way around ;p

  • @sean2kk8 i meant to say preachers ;(

  • Thank you for this wonderful movie. I really ... Thank you.

  • don't get me wrong but, even tho Lennon didn't believe in Jesus, he did kinda look like Jesus at one point.

  • @chebonwolf

John Lennon actually did believe in Jesus. What took him away from that, was not his own ideas. But YOKO ONO. That is the truth. What is coming out now from various sources, that he spent a lot of time praying for his family, YOKO would have none of it.

Ultimately, in life, Lennon's God was Yoko.

  • @babystinky that is a bunch of bull. John had his beliefs before he met Yoko.

  • @keaton1895

depends what your talking about. If your talking about his period of drugs and living in the eye of the hurricane known as beatlemania, he had many different beliefs to choose from. If your talking about what he grew up with, and later tried to reclaim this belief, it was indeed Yoko that kept him from it.

    Yoko was John's "God"

  • @babystinky Yoko was his soul mate and they had similar beliefs. John always believed in something and you are giving to much power to Yoko. In interviews over those years that I have heard backs my opinion.

  • @keaton1895

Yoko was a person who took advantage of John, when, quite frankly the man was all messed up. Just look at pictures of his body weight over the years. His voice, started to wane, he looked thin. She was no soul mate.

The things she did after Lennon's death, to the remainder of his family is not something to gloss over.

Julia Baird (Lennon's half sister) has nothing kind really to say about her, and there was tension with Julian obviously.

Lennon saw Yoko as something like a deity.

  • @babystinky John Lennon is an Atheist before and after end of story.

  • @PimpingRice

The Book In the last major interview Lennon gave, to Playboy in late 1980 (and later released unedited as a book, All We Are Saying)

In this last major interview Lennon gave, to Playboy in late 1980 (I’m religious in the sense of admitting there is more to it than meets the eye. I’m certainly not an atheist.”

Its on tape and its the "un-edited" version of that interview and you can see it in that book

  • @PimpingRice

So in John Lennons own words...."I’m certainly not an atheist.”

  • @babystinky And where is the source of that quote?

  • @PimpingRice

    Type in Google Books;

The Playboy interviews with John Lennon and Yōko Ono

    Search inside book-type word "atheist"

    its on Page 107

    David Sheff, G. Barry Golson

  • @PimpingRice

I had the written text about 29 years ago or so, and not only does he say he isn't an atheist, he also says he doesn't believe in "evolution" and he certainly doesn't believe in "young earth creationism" he thinks both are garbage/

  • @PimpingRice

If you also type in the word "prayer" in that interview, he talks about a 'prayer' that was including on Double Fantasy and was recorded. Its actually gospel singers praying out loud. Its on the album, and he wanted it in.

  • @babystinky Cannot find it be more specific, your instructions are hard to understand from the current information presented on the current site you've stated.

I've also have the right to not believe that you use to have the written text 29 years ago. Therefore I am in the default position, until proven.

  • @PimpingRice

I don't care what you believe about me. The fact is that the book; The Playboy interviews with John Lennon and Yōko Ono,

on Page 107 is the source.

There is nothing difficult in going to "Google Books" and finding what I said.

He flat out contradicts what you said.

  • @babystinky Like I said please provide the instructions again, I already did the process and cannot find it. I went on google books and searched the magazine name and then I searched up keyword "atheist". And cannot find a single word matched. Provide the link. I would love to believe you but you are flat out mental. And of course you don't care I am just stating it out, just like how you stated that you use to have it 29 years ago.

  • @PimpingRice

Type this in Google; (add google books at end)

The Playboy interviews with John Lennon and Yōko Ono

When you get to the book, look for the search box

type the word 'atheist' in the search box

Bet you anyone else here if they bothered, could see it. I am not mental, Its in the book idiot.

  • @PimpingRice

    remember go to "GOOGLE BOOKS"

There is a preview of the damn book. If you can't see it, you are complete denial on what John Lennon said.

  • @PimpingRice

And if you still after all of this "can't see it' then go to the article on the Net:

    Type in this:

"The John Lennon You never Knew" it is an article under Ricochet.com

The article has the quote from the same source; the Playboy Interview

“People got the image I was anti-Christ or antireligion,” he said. “I’m not at all. I’m a most religious fellow. I’m religious in the sense of admitting there is more to it than meets the eye. I’m certainly not an atheist.”

  • @babystinky Cannot find the exact quote you mention in the first process and the second process cannot be relied on since the first process can't be seen. At pg 107 it didn't show me what you've implied. Therefore please show me another method on seeing the book itself. You desperate attempt is slowly failing.

  • @PimpingRice

Buy the book. Its pretty good, I read it, you obviously haven't lol

    On Youtube -His Last Interview

    watch?v=qsiXRdGFIO4

John Lennon says about 2:10 seconds in, talking about the Song "Imagine"-He speaks of imagining no countries, no religion...

Then he says...."Not Imagine no God" he then pauses and says "Your Entitled to do that to"--

So "YOU" are entitled to imagine it, but it isn't his thought, as he says clearly "Not imagine there is no God"

  • @PimpingRice

BTW, the book is the "UN-EDITED" version of the full interview with Playboy. Not the edited version that was in print for the magazine and for the web. You have to buy the book.

The article that I linked to on Ricochet.com has the Quote

They would be sued if they made up that quote. Its in the official book end of story.

  • @PimpingRice

Have you been to the Yoko Ono site Imagine Peace. com?

If you put this at the end of the URL /archives/15702

You will see the quote if you scroll down!

How about that! Its right on a Yoko Ono affiliated site.

  • @PimpingRice

John Lennon, accepted the reality of "GOD"--not as a "man made" convention or religion. Same as myself, I don't believe God is some "man in the sky" but something much, much more and part of him is in all of us.

  • Whether or not John's parents gave him a Christian name or whether he met Paul in a church obviously has no connection to his own beliefs. I vote in a church -- does that make me a Christian? John believed different things at different times. As KoRnKob wrote, at the time he wrote this song, he was an atheist, & no, he couldn't possibly have made it any clearer.

  • Of course Lennon was an atheist -- at least he was at the time he wrote this song. Could he make it any clearer than he did with the lyrics here?

  • @SladeBarker actualy he was christian the message over rules the general gist of the song

  • @thegame3623

No, he was a Christian. He did not believe in any God or any religion. Peace.

  • I meant to say he was NOT a Christian...

  • @MyMusiclover28 My bad I didn't see the comment before.

  • @MyMusiclover28 dude i know he was protastant (a type of christian) but, he used the analogies in his lyrics to help make peace. in other words, i understood that he was a christian

  • @thegame3623

No, he was not a protestant. He was not religious nor did he profess any allegiance to any church in particular. He actually says it very plainly in his songs that he did not believe in anything, only in himself.

  • @MyMusiclover28 From interviews I have seen he did believe in a higher power. Just because you don't believe in christianitly does not mean you do not believe in God.

  • @MyMusiclover28 oh u meant to say he wasNT a christian, ur wrong, he met paul in a church, he used to perform IN A MOFOING CHURCH! research before u coment u dumb ass.

  • @thegame3623

Well, no... That could be so at the beginning, but that doesn't mean anything. He was not a Christian by the time he wrote songs like "Imagine" and "God"...just listen to his song "God".. " I don't believe in Jesus... I believe in me" ... I have done my research, I know what I am talking about and I don't have to embarras myself calling people dumb asses because they don't agree with me. If u are a Christian calling your church a MOFOING CHURCH won't sit well with your church.

  • @MyMusiclover28 he was just trying to reach his fans, it was a simbol to make peace, although he wasnt VERY religious he still did belive in G-d. next time u respond show me actual proof(in a video)

  • @thegame3623 He is an Atheist end of story.

  • omg i didn't know John Lennon was an atheist...

  • @5thfemalebeatle Lennon was not an atheist, but believed that god was something different to everyone.

  • OMG I cannot BELIEVE he sang "I don't believe in Yoko" . LOL

  • @grobbledonk He said yoga not yoko you retard in live the CD'S virgin he says All i believe is In me And Yoko..

  • @zManBearPig911z - Haha! I know I know. I don't know what mischievous gremlin overtook me yesterday. It always amuses me what wrangles people get into on youtube. I was feigning "retardation"

  • @grobbledonk wierdo he didnt. look at the lyrics.

  • John, you feel me...all we needed was love, and we are still trying to make it happen. No revolution at home, but in the hearts of many. Think peace my friends; the man is a genius.

  • LONG LIVE JOHN LENNON.............AND I DON'T BELIEVE IN DIGITAL SIGNAL PROCESSING.......ELECTRICAL ENGG SUCKS........PROAKIS GO TO HELL

  • if everyone would believe the same as john lennon, we would have world peace..

  • @Isilnis

You're wrong. World peace does not necessarily come of inner peace-- one man's peace may be another man's destruction. John simply professes his escape from the fantasy of stardom.
