Ford were cutting costs by basing it on the 500 but doing so it has destroyed the Ka character. The Ka mark 2 is certainly better than any entry level 500 but the 500 has a larger variety of engines and overall is better
The mark 1 Ka is superior to both the mark 2 Ka and entry level 500's as it has a better chassis and a better power to weight
Totally agree about going for a Fiesta instead, you can pick up a Fiesta 1.6 Zetec S approx 12k on the road
@678jasper678 1 : the fiat 500 has the exact same engines. no more variety at all. the only thing is that the KA doesn't have the "make steering all wobbly for parking" button.
2: you are right, but the old KA was ugly :-)
3: the fiesta uses more fuel, is bigger, doesn't suit the same driving style, and is just more expensive if you want radio/airco etc. fiesta is more of a family car, the ka is more of a city car
Come on Ford bring the KA to the US.
