  • "who's Harvey?"

"A white rabbit, six feet tall"

    "6 feet?!"

"6 feet, three and a half inches, now let's stick to the facts."

  • had an argument with my boyfriend over this movie, he said that Elwood sees harvey because he's an alchoolic, I don't agree, what do you reckon?

  • @MyGaldor I firmly believe that Harvey is a Pooka, not a figment of his imagination

  • @BeatsAndPulses Ergo, I am right. Right?

  • @MyGaldor Yeah pretty much

  • Love it!

  • Just found out - "HARVEY" is returning to Broadway this summer for a limited engagement at Studio54 (theatre). Taking the lead from the legendary James Stewart is another James - uh, Jim Parsons, that is. CAN'T WAIT!!

  • i just saw this at a play 2day, haha that rymes

  • lol what? i didnt know grown ups had imaginary friends

  • @SkibopDaSequel Harvey isn't imaginary! He's a pooka.

  • HOW CAN YOU SPY IF YOU MAKE EVERY COMPANY A TAPE?LIBYA HARVEY BLACK PEOPLE CASE ACTOR ANNE KIMA FGB KGB SPY A/D HARVEY KOREA WE'RE LIBYA

  • I love this film. Jimmy in the back alley of Charlie's explaining it all to everyone is one of the greatest moments in movie history...

  • James Stewart is the man

  • Today I walked into my class after lunch pretending to be talking to Harvey.

  • Theres no facebook page for this movie? OUTRAGEOUS~!

  • 0:48 COMEDY GOLD!!!

  • Great movie! And I'm gonna be Omar Gaffney in the play at my school!

  • everytime im feeling cinical or sad i just think of elwood and i feel much more pleasant.

  • so u never actually see the rabbit?

  • were doing this for a play at school....i hope its not gunnabe dumb?!

  • WELL I'LL BE SWIZZLED!

    Best line...Ever.

  • Donnie Darko or Harvey

    which is better?

  • @crash15boom Definitely Darko with it's comedic, psychological and supernatural drama than Harvey which majority of players there besides Elwood were just ridiculously playing pretend in each of their own La La Land...

  • @crash15boom They're totally different. Harvey is uplifting, and Donnie Darko is ...well, dark. But they are both very wonderful. I'm doing the play "Harvey" for my school, playing Myrtle Mae, but I am also a big fan of Donnie Darko (and Jake Gyllenhaal).

  • reminds me of donnie darko

  • LOL! Elwood Dowd is the original Donnie Darko! 6 foot rabbits...lol!

  • i watchdd this in theater arts boriiinggg!!! !! but maybe cause im a 11 year old

  • Jimmy Stewart could sit and tell me the most painful, excruciating story ever, but I could never turn away. His voice and mannerisms suck you in. lol. Shame there are not that many working actors today that command a screen presence like he did.

  • @bobbiwib it's on Netflix!

  • I just watched the play today :D They had it where I live. I though it was fucking hilarious! >:D

  • i love this i havent seen it since i was a child! Elward P is probably one of my first crushes

  • i searched harvey because thats my name, and this came up

  • I love this film!!! I own it on video!

  • Harvey vs. Frank? C8

  • We're preforming this in school. :)

  • i love this movie

  • I think I prefer Jimmy Stewart more in After the Thin Man.

It ends in the way I wish It's A Wonderful Life ended.

  • I just watched this last night. (: For the 200th time. I LOVE HARVEY! xD

  • "Well, I was smart for a long time, and I recommend pleasant."- Jimmy Stewart

  • best movie watch it

  • I've seen the play but not the movie.

  • @TimofAwsome THE MOVIE IS GREAT!!!!! I SUPER SUPER RECOMMEND WATCHING IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • This really is my favorite movie of all time!!!

  • Please no more remakes..Please Leave Ms.Chase's "Harvey" and"Mr.Dowd"..the hell alone!

  • a remake of "Harvey"? Oh No! Not another remake..Tv has tried to remake this classic..three times! The first tv version was with Mr.Art Carney on CBS TV's"Dupont Show Of The Month"in 1958,the second with Mr.James Stewart on NBC TV's/"Hallmark Hall Of Fame"in the 1970's and the third and last on CBS TV not too long ago with Mr.Harry Anderson. The only good remake was with Mr.Stewart in 1970.

  • Dear Esswring, Actress Peggy Dow played"Nurse Ruth Kelly"of "Chumley's Rest"in the movie version of Ms.Chase's classic stage play.

  • I was just casted as Ruth Kelly in the play. :D

    LOVE the movie!!!

  • This is a great movie :D

"Six feet three and a half inches, now let's stick to the facts." lol best line ever XD

  • huntressl10 - my dad does too. haha. I loved this movie. I watched it last night. The idea of it was perfect. and I always knew Harvey was real. :)

  • HOLY SHIT

    MY NAME IS HARVEY

  • What an excellent film.

  • Jim Stewart is like the uncle of all of us!

  • where can i watch this whole movie!!!!

  • wish I could see this again, was so good

  • I just watched the movie. It's pure genius!

  • What a great movie...Jimmy Stewart is awesome!

  • Is Speilberg really planning on doing a remake? Didn't they already make Donnie Darko? I don't think you can "remake" this movie any better than that

  • No not anymore, Speilberg dropped the idea.

  • do you get to see the rabbit, besides the painting...

  • No.

  • were doing a play of this im playing wilson could someone explane that charachter to me

  • i thought tom hanks was good in BIG,

but i dont think they should remake harvey , look what happened to" the day the earth stood still" with keanu.

ps-i thought elwood's sister was over the top, tho. shes so "aunt bee"

  • Frank and Harvey should get together and go bowling...

  • He's dreeaaamy

  • imagination or just plain nuts

  • Comment removed

  • This film is so amazing! I love it!!

  • bullshit !!!! i've just saw the news , that theres going to be a REMAKE of this MASTERPIECE ....starring will smith .....what the fuck is it with REMAKES this days ? cmon , they cant fucking make something of their own and REMAKES SUCK!!!! , leave a good film how it is !

By the way , this film is on my TOP 30 films and the top 100 films of the american film isntitute.

  • I know It dose suck.

    :/

Tom Hanks I heard might play him

I like Mr.Hanks But he is no James Stewart

Lol I hope the new flops >.> Jking?

    ._. maybe not...

  • I did not say Tom Hanks is bad.

It he just no James Stewart,

Tom Is too old for this anyways.

If you don't like James Stewart you just have bad taste :D~!~~~ He is light hearted in this film ._. watch Shenandoah :OO

But with Donnie Darko out Kids are just going to think it is like that sadly :/

  • @omaraty009 this certainly is one big schizo bullshit movie! I can do a sequel with a one pound hamster and name it Larry or something...

  • I cant beleive theyr gonna make a remake that sucks this is a work of art they need to get a tv hang it in a museum and play this over and over again, now speilberg is gonna screw it up

  • Wowo i have a feeling wen he does remake the movie its going to be a scene were we see Harvey and its gonna kill the film cuz Harvey is made by our imagination and Spilberg gotta go kill it

As long as hes not like Frank from Donnie Darko i guess it would be good

But damn he better not kill this classic

  • Spielbergs remaking it.

    Guess what.

They all turn out to be aliens and fly away in a flying saucer just liek every other shitty spielberg film.

  • every other shitty speilberg film? what like Jaws? Close Encounters? ET? Saving Private Ryan? Raiders of the lost ark? The majority of Speilberg films can be called many things, shitty is not one of them.

  • Jaws - ruined when shark turned out to be alien

Saving Private Ryan - Aliens in WW2

Raiders of the lost ark - Moses was an alien

Pop culture horseshit for dumbasses like you.

  • LOOLz

  • you are quite clearly a jibbering idiot.

but i am against Speilberg's 'Harvey' remake, it's unnecessary.

  • Aliens in WW2? A Shark Alien?

  • This always reminds me of SCTV.

  • The title character speaks no lines, never makes an appearance and yet he is so very much there thanks to the fine acting of Jimmy Stewart!

  • Great Film! I couldn't believe that there were a few classmates who didn't like it....oh well, I guess some people have no taste. The lady who played Myrtle also played in a 3 Stooges Episode which involved a giant bird :) Lol, reference?? Who knows.....

  • huh

  • I love old movies, they are the best

  • A great movie, even though one or two characters were overplayed

  • Jimmy Stewart...oh, so pleasant.

  • Ty so much for posting this, I love this movie - it's my favourite Jimmy Stewart movie!! Such a beautiful, tender movie - the only problem is I can't watch my DVD very often, b/c it makes me cry every time!! 5 stars & faved this!!♥♥

  • My schools doing this play. I'm Myrtle :P

  • Oh, awesome! Yeah, that's a fun role, I played...or at least I was supposed to play Myrtle. It's a funny story, really. We were three weeks in to rehearsal, and we found out that they were doing a Broadway revival version of it in New York, so we lost our performance rights to it. So we switched to another play by Mary Chase called Cocktails With Mimi and I played Mrs. Jane Elliot. It was a smaller role, but it was fun all the same... mostly because my character was drunk at the end of it :~).

  • my school's doing this play, it's pretty awesome

  • my school's doing this play! IM DA JUDGE!! :D

  • my name is harvey...

  • Lols my school did a play on harvey

  • @BlueKnux0 Well of course its' Harvey.

  • this and "people will talk" are my top two favorite "old" films... this is awesome (considering you have this trailer on and not "People Will Talk"). Thanks a bunch.
