Team of Rivals was a damn good read. I've since gone on to gather three Lincoln books by David Herber Donald, Carl Sandburg and Stephen B Oates. As well as Mrs Goodwin's other books on FDR and LBJ. She's a good writer.

Amazing book, I am reading it for the second time and continue to glean new insight into the lives of these amazing men and into the period from which they sprang. Long book? Yes, but an easy read that is addictive and very enjoyable. I also cried as a grown man at the end of this book.

"Team of Rivals" was an extraordinary book adn the final pages almost brought tears to my eyes.

Yes it was dear quite long. Close to eight-hundred pages, but every bit worth the time to read.
