@tony265982 Looks like he is in a casket... The lid has been removed and the body has been raised all the way up, to give the apperance that he is on a bed.
When we had church like this and the choir sang like this Everybody in the Church praised the Lord and I mean everyone there wasn't a stiff person in the house but now in these days we have left the way songs was sung and we got into the Jazz and the R&B in Gospel and we try to get all pretty and stuff even much as to Match the melody to the secular world and you now see some into the song and some standing still. We need to go back and get the old time Religion. Can I get a AMEN.
Who is the 4th lady singing? Is that evelyn reason i think thats her name the second singer? Is laverna mason still alive who is also the 5th lady singing? And last who is the 6th lady singing? They sound so beautiful.
I know what you mean. I remember hearing some of these songs on car-rides home and to church when my mama bought all his cassettes. We even sang a few of his songs in church. Truly songs of wisdom that I now come to count on when times get hard!
Just guessing, but the song title might be, "Every Now and Then". Brings back memories of Donald Vails at Ebenezer AME Church in Ft. Washington, MD. When he passed, his Homegoing service was similar - the choir sang while people came in for the viewing.
Thank You. Good to know he is still around. Palyed and sang with him every Sunday from 97-2000. The clip does no justice; absolutely one of the greatest voices in Gospel...one of my personal all time favorites. Remember that song, "I want to be ready when you come?" He great.;-)
Can anybody tell me who the first guy is singing. I have heard him in on some of Cleveland's stuff and I love his style and voice.. this is a great tribute.

I agree. It really should be an inspiring celebration. Make the sinners jelous! This is why we live Holy, so that one day we can receive the reward of Heaven. I want my funeral to be a Holy Ghost party. Have the sinners running to the alter saying, "I want to be saved too!"
