  • LOL!!!

it was so hilarious when you said something like

    "Yes... quite an unfortunate name..."

Than there was this awkward pause and than..... DICKAPACK

i guess we could pronounce it DEEK a pack

  • How much and where??

  • @GanEdenAustralia Check the video description.

  • @halfthrottle Panama

  • DICK-A-PACK

  • wtf?????

  • i love dic - apac

  • Love the underwater sound!

  • DiCaPack

  • Dick a pack. Im pretty sure its DIKE a pack

  • lol, great name! I think all camera accessories should have rude sounding names.

BTW, I just invented a waterproof cover for the dials on my camera. I've called it a knOBBglOBBla

  • @MadStu I want 5 of them.

  • get a gopro

  • @Ginkman99 Why he would get a gopro...

    GoProHD=Shitty sound quality : ]

  • Sounds like Deekapack.

  • Its a good idea. Its really good for shooting in the rain or mist. Soft bags have an inherent problem when used underwater. The pressure squeezes the bag to the camera and can cause pressure breakage. But for above surface, its totally fine.

Too bad it doesn't have a tripod screw. For better rain performance, use rainex on the lens glass to keep drops off the lens. Check with manufacturer first.

  • @dahveed284 Yeah lack of a tripod mount is a real bummer. I've been trying to figure out a way to rig something up so it can be used with a tripod.

  • @halfthrottle Perhaps when you use it on a tripod, can you use the bag upside down with it open at the bottom. Should still keep the camera dry unless its really blowing.

  • @dahveed284 That is freaking genius! That is exactly what I'm going to do it should work perfectly. I was trying to figure out how to build some sort of cradle to set it in then mount that on the tripod. Thank you so much.

  • @halfthrottle if you didn't want to do the upside down idea you could put a 1/4" nut into a small piece of wood to use as a platform and mount that to the tripod then use a rockstrap or something similar around the top to connect the camera to the wood.

  • @EverydayRiding This is what I was thinking of doing at first, or something like it anyway. But I think the upside down method will work fine for me. I like to keep things simple.

  • Yikes! $73.50?? Seems quite a lot for a gallon size Ziploc freezerbag.

My hard solution (ha ha) is better. The basic design is bulky, but for some odd reason kept tail gaiters further back than normal. :)

It's quite waterproof and floats. The original idea is from fudmotten.

4" PVC tube cut to desired length,

Clear acrylic 'lens' attached with automotive silicon.

Foam or whatever other soft material to adjust the internal shape.

To seal the back end, a pressure plug thing.

  • @dv8tion242 I've seen that DIY camera rig from PVC. Very cool idea, and certainly much cheaper.

  • Very cool.. Might have to get one for my Canon. Oh and was that a fart at 1:21 ? LOL

  • underater mic is terrible, but it sound like you're drowning. LoL. but it's a simple, but effective idea to protect a handycam on rainy days or a trip in the snow or fooling around at the pool!

  • Simple yet effective design.

  • I love the underwater filming bit

  • Dickapack is usually a product bought by Seamen, while they are at work. :)
