  • you are supposed to hold onto the horn... I would let him run! he knows what he is doing. but great job!

  • i think you did great:) and yes, while turning you are supposed to hold the horn, so it sounds like someone that commented this does not know what they are talking about.

  • Not trying to be mean.. I mean your a REALLY GOOD RIDER, but the horn is NOT meant to be held onto... holding onto the horn won't help you stay on, it will just ruin the saddle, if you hold the horn and do all that turning you may eventually rip it off!! But great job!! Learn to hold on with your legs not with the horn, other than that!! Your awesome!!!

  • i usually dont hold onto it. i used to run without it but my friend told me to drop outside rein and grab the horn when you turn. i was just to lazy to pick my rein back up because the next turn was left anyways

  • I love blue. He is soo pretty. I love his short little tail

  • he is my BABY. thanks :) and funny story, 2 years ago my little aussie would jump up on his hind legs and rip the hair out of his tail. its grown about 6 inches since she stopped. lol

  • you are a good barrel racer!

  • thanks. i believe its more the horse though :) and i didnt have my boots or spurs so i had to ride in merrils. lol

  • wow ur getting really good! :] im gonna ask my dad if he will record one or two of me and put them on here!

  • thanks! sure if you do you can post a response here id love to see them!

  • just a little comment... your reins are pretty long! maybe if you tie a few knots in them or you get some shorter ones, your sure to do better!

  • on both horses? stately has english reins on

  • yes, the first one for sure. the second ones reins are a little long, but not as bad as the first horses. Also, a couple other things I spotted... 1. the first horse didnt change to the left lead at all for the second and third barrel, and as a result, he didnt bend and carry himself all the way around with the hind end. 2. in between barrels go two handed, then one handed around the barrels. Thats for all three

  • well the 1st(stately) this is his 2nd time loping though the barrels in about 3-4 years and im working on lead changes with blue

  • ya deffinitely ill go check em out!

  • oh:) ya i trained my 13 yr. old. i hate it when ppl doubted me when i first started training him, everyone thinks you have to have a young horse, but ive proven that thats not tru:) btw, both of ur horses are gorgeous!

  • thanks! yea ive had him 4 years and been runnin trash cans in my pasture and this was his 4th race. im uploading his run from our race today if youre interested

  • great job! how old are your horses???

  • Stately is 22 and Blue is 9 :) Stately hasnt run in about 3-4 years and Im training Blue
