i think you did great:) and yes, while turning you are supposed to hold the horn, so it sounds like someone that commented this does not know what they are talking about.
Not trying to be mean.. I mean your a REALLY GOOD RIDER, but the horn is NOT meant to be held onto... holding onto the horn won't help you stay on, it will just ruin the saddle, if you hold the horn and do all that turning you may eventually rip it off!! But great job!! Learn to hold on with your legs not with the horn, other than that!! Your awesome!!!
i usually dont hold onto it. i used to run without it but my friend told me to drop outside rein and grab the horn when you turn. i was just to lazy to pick my rein back up because the next turn was left anyways
he is my BABY. thanks :) and funny story, 2 years ago my little aussie would jump up on his hind legs and rip the hair out of his tail. its grown about 6 inches since she stopped. lol
yes, the first one for sure. the second ones reins are a little long, but not as bad as the first horses. Also, a couple other things I spotted... 1. the first horse didnt change to the left lead at all for the second and third barrel, and as a result, he didnt bend and carry himself all the way around with the hind end. 2. in between barrels go two handed, then one handed around the barrels. Thats for all three
oh:) ya i trained my 13 yr. old. i hate it when ppl doubted me when i first started training him, everyone thinks you have to have a young horse, but ive proven that thats not tru:) btw, both of ur horses are gorgeous!
thanks! yea ive had him 4 years and been runnin trash cans in my pasture and this was his 4th race. im uploading his run from our race today if youre interested
you are supposed to hold onto the horn... I would let him run! he knows what he is doing. but great job!
