@JJ9715 CDs are still around, but only for mainstream artists, as many small, "indie" artists are digital only. They're just dying a SLOW death since 1999-2000.

Its hard to believe that NOTHING has been able to get the CD off of the market. Even now with High Definition Sound, CDs are still on the market and still sell very well. CDs still sound outstanding after all of these years.

That's probably becuase not every album is released on HD, and CDs are more conveniant.

The CD came out in the very early 80's, around 1982-83 but it was extremely expensive and only the rich could afford it. It wasn't until the late 80's that it started to catch on. This commercial has to be from the late 80's/early 90's.
